 | I want to take a course in medical billing and coding and I researched the jobs advertised, no one is hiring anyone without 2 years experience. I don't want to was time and money.
I have a bachelor's, could I just try for unit secretary jobs or do I need training for that too? I don't know what to do.

 | I am a sophomore nursing student and I have a hospital unit secretary job interview tomorrow. When I list my educational and job information, the resume is one page. However, if i add my volunteer experience, it adds another page. Should I try to shorten my resume to one page, or are two pages okay?
Thank you!
If I do have two pages, would it be okay to print on both sides of the paper?

 | I just got a job as a unit secretary for an adolescent psychiatric unit and I was wondering how hard of a job it is being a secretary for a hospital unit. I have some secretarial experience but I'm actually going to this job from another job I had on the unit (long story). I'm nervous, so any information is appreciated. Just be nice :)

 | I just finish a short course as a Health Unit Coordinator. I have applied for over 50+ jobs. The jobs are requesting at least1 yr experience. What should I do and where can I apply? The school stated that they would be of support. But as usual the school lied and since we were the 1st pilot class we are actually their trophies. I have apllied at several hospitals. I also took a class in EKG. Please any suggestions.

 | I will be a freshman in college and would like a part time job in a hospital setting. I have 2 years of volunteer service and was hired as a volunteer supervisor for 6 months and currently work in the hospital gift shop until I go off to college in a couple of days.
I'm just looking for something in a hospital setting that does not require me to take any courses. My friend was telling me about unit secretary. What does that require or anything else. Like as an operator, in medical records, front desk, ect.

 | I work as a unit secretary in a hospital and I am very worried that my position will not be there when all goes electronic. The doctors and nurses are going to be doing all their test ordering on little computer tablets, The charts are all going to be computerized, not paper, and the patient calls are all going straight to the nurses or CNA's. I am freaking out. I love my hospital and want to stay there. What should I do?

 | Hospital Unit Secretary
Administrative Medical Assistant
Clinical Medical Assistant
Radiologic Technologist
I want to pursue one of the careers above but i cant decide!
I really want to be a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound) but they do not offer that at the local college, but they do offer the classes for the jobs listed above.
Does anyone have any experience with these jobs?

 | I recently just started a job, and another job called me for an interview, and the job that called me for an interview is a unit secretary position, and I think it would pay more than my other job that I just started. I don't know if I should leave the other job that isn't paying anything. Do you think I should see how I like the job that hired me, and then see how the interview goes? HELP!

 | I am a certified phlebotomist and I need a job in a hospital and haven't gotten a response. I was wondering if maybe I should get my foot in the door as a unit secretary or something and then apply internally for phlebotomy openings?
I understand I don't want to stay a secretary for too long but I have applied everywhere as a phlebotomist and I have gone two months w/o a job. I need a job.
