 | I know for those international big-time airports select other airport managers to work, but how do you work your way up?

 | I'm 17 and I'm interested in working at an airport becouse I love the environment. I'm particularly interested in positions of management where there is a lot of moving around and meeting & helping people (airport manager?). (Not pilot, luggage handler, or flight attentedant, work at fast food chains or gift shops!) and also, what's the job title of people who check your passport and tell you where you're sitting?
It would be good if you could tell me as many possibilities and how much that job usually pays because a decent salary is important. Thanks!

 | I am currently doing A2s in maths and physics - and plan to do airline and airport management degree next year, but to make it big and take senior jobs (like assistant operations/ airport manager post jobs) right after finishing my degree, you need experience - so I plan to build my experience starting with low position jobs - that's why I trying for bag carrier jobs or something like that. My job experience is very limited - i had jobs here and there (temporary)

 | When I graduate college, and serve my time in the Air Force, is it hard to find a job?
I want to be a small airport manager, and I heard they put up job offers while you're in college; but if I am going into the military, will this make it harder on me since they might not remember me?

 | I'm in my second semester in college and starting to think about an aviation management major. What do I need to do besides graduate with a degree to succeed in this business? Also, is this a unreasonable goal for someone with no real airport work experience?

 | At first I thought I wanted to fly for a living; however, I now realize my true passion is on the business-side of aviation. What are some jobs, besides an airport manager, that I could eventually be hired for? Also, the pay scale for those jobs and what companies could I work for?
Personal experiences would be great!
Thank you!!

 | I've had a few, but once I worked for a large franchised rent-a-car company and the owner put his 16 year old son as Airport manager over 3000 cars and fifty employees as his "summer job" the regular manager just sat there with his mouth shut. I lasted three weeks, most others not much longer.
Geeez...I thought that mine suxed......but I had it good by comparison....Thank You All............

 | I'm planning on studying aviation in college, and I am interested in working at the airport as part of the ground crew operations. (Luggage, marshaling, fueling, etc..) The airlines do the hiring for the individual gates, and they told me I need a resume. I just turned 19 last month and I currently serve at a restaurant. I have no prior resume experience nor any aviation experience. How would I go about building this resume since I don't have any real experience in the field?

 | I want to work at the airport but not on the actual planes, so I want an on ground job.
Can someone please describe in detail the different jobs available? :)
And what is the salary?

 | I tried working in a factory because I thought, great no customer service or communication skills needed, but I still had to work with coworkers I really didn't get along well with. I was fired for not being a team player.
It's hard to get along with others and I really just want a job where I can work alone or with objects and be left alone in peace.
