 | I'm 17 and have applied to be a part-time hotel room attendant. I have got to go to an assessment centre next week so I want to be prepared.
- What activities are they likely to do at an assessment centre for the role of a hotel room attendant?
- What duties does a hotel room attendant do?
- How can I be a very good hotel room attendant?
- What qualities and skills would be helpful?
Thanks!

 | Say, it was one of those long 3 months ones. Would it be possible for a member of the ship's crew to have a relationship with a passenger?
Would they get deported or just have to leave their loved one behind? I'm not talking Titanic when I say that, but would the crew member have the time or access, or legality in a contract for the job to do it?
And what position would be most suitable (officer, or perhaps dining room attendant...) for this to occur?

 | I manage a hotel, where customer service is paramount (or we try anyway). Room attendants and front desk reps, never see a finished product. Yes, their room gets clean, or the guest gets checked in. But the next is in line behind them. They can never reap the reward as it were because their work never ends. Besides its not very glamourous or meaningful. I believe in honest work for honest pay. And wages shouldn't and isn't the final motivator (although must be competetive). Please don't say food and money, or tell me to read this book. Leading by example of course and all that stuff, but ultimately, to get a specific task accomplished repetetively and correctly without much supervision is the question. Ideas?

 | I've always wanted to be a flight attendant. I love being in airports and in planes, I even love the in-flight meals. Most of all I love to travel. However, I suspect being a flight attendant isn't all its cracked up to be.
So I'm curious: can anyone tell me what its like?

 | I have an interview this week and am very excited, if iwas to get the job can somebody tell me exactly what happens next? How long till i would have to go to training? Will i be sharing a room with somebody? After training how long till you actually start working? Do they provide the uniform? If i had to relocate to a different city, how long do they give me to do that, and do they help with any of the costs? What kind of discounts have people gotten on flights, and does it include just you or friends and family? Thanks

 | I am currently a junior in high school, and dream of becoming a flight attendant someday. I think what I have planned to do is attend a community college to earn an Associates degree. While being a college student I would like to be a waiter at a restaurant or hold some other job to gain customer service skills and experience with the public. Is this a good path to take in order to become a flight attendant?
