They say that I was given 485 pounds from them which is taxable but this is a lie. This is because I have received 285 pounds and I have stopped the payments so I am no longer claiming job seekers allowance. They say that they have informed the inland revenue but how ridiculous. I havent called them yet because its the weekend but any comments would be appreciated.

I applied to work for a well known bank and lied on my resume by stating that I worked for a company for two years only to spice up my resume a little. I didnt put down any experience I didnt already know of but I still lied about actually working there. I also put my sister as reference since she actaully does work for that company and put her as my supervisor. But now I feel guilty. Can an employer ask you for an old pay check as proof that you actually worked some where or do they only use your reference as proof? What should I do?

I have a product that would tailor to the commercial side of insurance. More specifically companies with fleet vehicles. I want to talk to insurance companies to see if their customers equip their fleets with my product that they would the offer them a discount. That would help me get sales, help the insurance company have their customers carrying a safety device, and save the fleet owners money. Who in an insurance agency would I talk to for instance Liberty Mutual?

Every time someone on here mentions the Catholic scandals there are at least one or two people still defending the church by saying that other organizations have pedophiles and that priests aren't more likely to molest than any other job or even that the victims deserved it in some way. Why are they still defending an organization that covered up bad priests by shuffling them off to other churches instead of defrocking them and handing them over to the authorities? Is their blind allegiance just too strong?

First off let me say that I want concrete information. I don't care for any information that YOU think sounds correct. Or any information you pieced together from resources that are of little or not having to do with criminal justice and laws in the state of california. If you have no beneficial information then do not post and press the back button. Hey ya'll! I need to know exactly how does petty theft affect employment for an individual in the state of california. There is a key answer I'm looking for. Is it required for an applicant to list such a thing on a job application form? I know that it's definitely required if the offense is related to drugs or an outright felony of any sort. This would have been the first law broken/offense or whatever you would call it for the individual Need this information for a semester report which is due in several weeks. So take your time. Thank you.

I'm writing a 15 pg research paper on illegal immigration. Here's what I have so far. Would this be enough for 15 pages? -Quotes of farmers who say how these illegals help them -They are doing jobs that Americans won’t don -Get dirty. Working under the sun under severe duress. -Statistics of migrant farm workers. -Started in 1950s with a law passed between the US and Mexico which brought in several immigrant farmers from Mexico. -Its just that some of them stayed.. Negatives -Presence of undocumented people -Don’t know there whereabouts, track record, history of employment, etc in case there’s a crime. -Several illegals running away to Mexico (child abductions) Statistics! -Drug use. Smuggling in. This is their living and how much they earn. Marijuana and cocaine available -Human trafficing - Poverty Is that enough for 15 pages? It looks like I need more tho...any suggestions? Any positives/negatives of illegal immig. that I should cover??

I have a credit card that is maxed out and since I didnt have a job for a while last year, I was late for a couple months on the credit card. They change my APR from 14?o 28?! There is no way to get my balance down because the balance is so high....are there any options to get it lowered? I tried calling the customer service number and they told me I would need to talk to a personal banker (since my credit card is through a bank) and see if they could reduce it. I dont know what else to do!!! Just from being late 3 times, noone will give me credit and there is no way to pay down on this...help!! Does anyone know goodwebsites to go to about this? Thanks!! Wow, these are some great answers! The card was actually used for school tuition since I wasn't eligible for grants and I didn't have a job because I was finishing my last semester of school and my full time job was to demanding for my full time school. I know how to manage money, I know I signed up for this so I am not trying to not accept responsibility. BUT if there is any way to help my situation, then I will try. I love when people make assumptions about others...Madison.

I have a grandson who is 17 now. He's a junior in high school and he's doing well. He is mentally challenged but let me go a little further into detail. He knows right from wrong and he is not one of those kids that needs a helmet. He can preform basic tasks but sometimes he needs help bathing as he always misses a bunch of spots. The thing is he had the mental brain of a 2nd grader at best. He can more preform basic math skills (he can barely add single numbers) but it is at a very low level. His reading has gotten better but it is still at the same low level as his math. He can read but he doesn't understand what he's reading. He doesn't have any friends, never have. I have to cook his meals for him or the house will burn down if I let him. But last year he finally learned how to use the microwave so now I let him use that for snacks. He's been like this since birth. The doctors told me he was technically mentally retarded when he was very young. I grieved for some time but got over it. Despite all this, I loves playing Xbox 360 and likes watching tv and movies. From the bottom of my heart when I see him do things he enjoys I think of him not having these limitations but when I see him struggle with the most basic things I cry. He has an older brother that is 2 years older than him and he's doing very good (own car, own money, college ect) and my mentally challenged grandson is getting to the age were he wants to start doing these things to. He wants to learn how to drive since he's 17, but it brakes my heart to tell him he can't cause he won't understand the test, let alone drive a 2 ton car down the road endangering the lives of others. So what should I give him to look forward to after high school? How should I explain to him that he can not do things that other people his age are (without making me cry and ruining his self esteem)?
