 | 1) Working as a business development account manager for a healthcare staffing firm $23.50 an hour.
2) Working from home selling health/life insurance over the phone and computer for an agency that pays $5000 a month guaranteed if I hit the target. If not, I don't have a job. If I hit the target, they pay commission on top of that $5000 if my commission is higher and make me a sales manager.

 | If they are not confident enough to run there own business, how they will bring business for others, i wonder. And please don't give me reasons of funds. I know many people who started from nothing and are now millionaires. I just can't understand why they work for others?

 | I've overheard this in a Bar - that they are willing to expand into a country which I know well and which I speak the language of. I presume they were employees of the company. I really would want to hop on the train to be honest, with the current job-climate and all. But I don't know how to go about. Should I just send an e-mail to the Development Manager explaining that I have experience over there and that I could be of help ? Any suggestions are welcomed

 | I have a B.A., worked on a presidential campaign, managed political projects, worked as a business development manager, etc. - and now I am applying for bartenders positions so that I can go back to school to do what I really want to do: photography.
While going to school and interning I want a job that is both flexible and relatively high paying and bartending is just that. The problem is that employers ideally want people with no time conflicts - what should I tell them? Bartending jobs are very competitive in Los Angeles and I of course want to work at a place where the tips will be great. The interviewer always remark that this is an "interesting" career change for me which forces me to explain my rationale. I always emphasis that I NEED to make money and that my schedule will work around my job but still feel that it is hurting me. I realize that many artists in L.A. bartend and wait tables, so I my situation is not unique.
Thanks in advance.
They know my career history from my resume. My resume needs to be complete so that I don't have time gaps since college.

 | Hi
I'm finishing off my mba and have a bsc in electrical engineering. I currently have a couple of years of business development experience.
I'm considering looking for employment in a number of sectors, and was wondering:
1. What kinds of jobs / firms actively recruit MBA holders?
2. What level should an MBA start out at? (Entry, Lower-mid management, etc..)
Thanks!

 | Would I be able to work a business related job with a mechanical engineering major? Will employers look for engineers to work a business type job? I want to be an engineer but work within the business industry, what should I do? I am already in the engineering school but I don't really want to transfer to the business school.
Thanks for the help!

 | Since May 2011 a small advertising firm of about 12 people has hired
3 Account Managers
1 Junior Account Manager
1 Data Analyst
1 Account Director
And they have only kept 1 Account Manager. The rest were fired in the probationary period for not being the right "fit" or for being too "nervous". Most of these people were competent and were successful at previous positions and subsequent positions and their business development team was separate. It is just personal, a matter of fitting into the company culture?. I was one of the account managers and I would like to know how to avoid this mistake in the future.

 | I want to get my first assistant manager job at Radio Shack. I have worked at a Super Target for a year. They trained me in 13 different positions including everywhere from backroom, flow team, instocks, hairlines, softlines, market, signing, presentation, cashier, cart attendant (to clean up chemical spills), guest services, and also electronics. I know the bases of sale and I am very good at taking on a lot at one time. I know in a position like that I would definitely make more than I do now... but I just wanted to know if I would even be considered.. please help?
