Business Manager Job Questions & Answers

I am currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration and I am going to be transferring to a four year college where I will obtain my B.A. I was wondering if this is the right degree if I want to be an agent or business manager of actors or performers. It sounds kind of juvenile, but I want to have Ari Gold's job off the show Entourage. Any response is greatly appreciated.

I have to interview a small business manager. And I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out, by answering a few questions. 1. What is a typical day at your job. 2. What is the best part about this job? 3. What are the biggest challenges you face while working? 4. What do you not like about your job? 5. What education do you suggest I get before entering this field? 6. What kind of salary should I expect to get? 7. What are some good companies to work for? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

My husband is a very experienced HVAC technician and we need more income but he doesn't want to leave his current job for the government since it is enjoyable hours and nice benefits. I am wondering if I can start an HVAC business and hire techs to do the actual labor and my husband can be a consultant resource. Do I need an HVAC license to actually own the business even if I am not doing any hands on work? What if my husband has the license? I would be the business manager and scheduler.

I am applying for production manager jobs (what my experience is in) but my degree BS major was in electronic media. Usually these positions want a degree in Engineering or Business Management. If they don't specify should I leave what my major was in out of my resume so they don't disregard my resume before they talk to me?

I want to know, like... Don't tell me there are none, I know there is an answer, and that's all I want. Nothing else. I'm talking about real careers, like: Massage Therapy Social Worker Business Manager, etc.. I have gauged ears, pierced lip, a tattoo on my wrist, tattoo on my neck and a tattoo on my inner bicep. The tattoo on my neck is a rather small one. It's about 3 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches thick. I want to know, what jobs can I look at actually getting, no matter what type of education you have to go through, but I imagine jobs like a security guard or social worker, you can't have that type of stuff. At least not the lip ring. but what kind of jobs do you think I could actually get if I got the proper education?

I'd like to come up with a great job title other than business manager, which implies that I only manage one business. I take on clients that have businesses and want me to manage them for them. From marketing to bookkeeping and all that's in between.

What kind of jobs in a large hospital setting that allow interaction with doctors, nurses, and other staff? I am getting my business degree and want to know if such work exists. Maybe a liaison or a manager (would they hire business managers?)? What courses should I take for me to get an internship, since I have no prior experience? I think it's fun to work with people, not just computers. I don't want to be a doctor, but I like to work in that environment.

I've wanted to be a funeral director, mainly embalmer, for a long time now. I talk to a female FD (who did my mom's funeral and who married into the business) and I also talked to a school for mortuary science (business manager who went to that school) today and was told by both (both female) that although it's not impossible for a female, it's very, very hard for them to make it and that to compete for jobs, they have to really stand out among the crowd and basically work twice as hard as a man would. Both were trying to discourage me, but neither had any reason to lie to me so it must be true, right? I mean, they're actually in the business so they obviously know a thing or two about it. I've never been a "go getter" (I know that's bad!) and I don't want to waste my time going to school if I'm not going to be able to get a job. Does anyone who is in the business know? I was also told that my chances would be hgher if I would consider moving out of state, but I have no interest in doing that. This is my home.
