Campaign Job Questions & Answers

Presidential election coming up next year, Obama against a Republican yet to be named. From now until next summer the Republicans will be beating each other senseless, making all prospective nominees look like morons, Obama only has to sit back and watch while they make the opposition out to be incompetent. They're doing his campaign job for him, so I can't help but wonder, how much does an incumbent have to screw up to blow re-election? Had to pass this along: Under suggested categories, Health > Diet & Fitness, is that a Michelle thing?

They took over the House in 2010, campaigning on job creation, yet it is obvious that they have no ideas when it comes to actually doing so. It has been proven by their effort to create an infinite debt ceiling debate. They know they have failed at creating jobs, so they have pulled a bait and switch. Are Republican voters furious? Shouldn't you be furious, as they are being paid salaries to do nothing? Why do you still put up with these clowns?

I will be spending tommorow with the campaign manager of a major statewide campaign. I've worked with this guy before as a volunteer and he was impressed with my activism for his candidate (in a previous election) Now this guy is the campaign manager, and this is a major campaign. I've served a two year internship for the candidate who is currently a state legislator and is seeking a higher office. Tommorow it will be just me and this campaign manager all day. The guy is actually about my age or a little older (in his late 20s) and has a rather shy disposition. How do I go about asking this guy for a paid campaign job?

I have been looking through tons of job descriptions for political campaign staff jobs and many of them say housing is provided. It makes sense being that these jobs are very short term and it may be hard to find local talent. What type of housing is it typically? Is it a portion of a hotel rented for 6 months? Some house where all of the political staff lives together?

They all campaigned on job creation yet they kill every job creating bill and push a job killing social agenda, why is their base so easy on them?

Obama made countless promises during his campaign to create jobs, cut taxes, strengthen our economy and secure our border. Let the FACTS speak for themselves; few jobs, higher taxes, higher national debt and a less secure boarder. FACT!

Let's take for example, if you work at a job like the ones at jobsthatmatter.org. Basically, political action jobs that send people out to lobby for more environmental protection. If you worked there for a summer, do you think it would affect how you are chosen for a position later in life, like if you would be turned down for advancement to a CEO position? My friend says yes, but I disagree. Any more thoughts? (oh yeah, and I was just guessing the category under which this falls under)

They kept campaigning on jobs but they have worked on everything but. TK, healthcare wasn't repealed.

They campaigned on jobs, jobs, jobs. People were p****d at Democrats and voted for Republicans partly because they weren't Democrats. Their own favorability ratings weren't great. Since taking over the House, they have virtually ignored jobs and spent most of their time pursuing their social agenda, including this current budget fight which seems to be largely about abortion. Have these Republicans over-read their mandate and will they be punished for it come 2012?

The Republican party is 20+ million in debt. "If jobs are lost, so be it" after you campaign on job creation. Pathetic--that's the only word I have to describe the Republican Party.

So I am trying to think of questions involving Campaign Finance and Jobs/Unemployment for a Political Debate that my school political group is holding. I need some help on coming up with some questions to ask during the debate that involve the Presidential Debate coming up. Any help is really appreciated.

Here is a hint; calling Obama a socialist, passing abortion legislation and union busting bills when you campaigned on job creation isn't going to cut it. I voted for W twice and I voted for Obama in '08.

I keep hearing liberals saying that Republicans campaigned on jobs, but have spent their whole time trying to ban abortion and gay marriage... If this is true, can they name some of the anti-gay and anti-abortion bills passed by the Republican House of Representatives?

They campaigned on jobs, jobs, jobs, and have ignored that issue since they got into power. Wasting their time and ours on trying to repeal a law that EVERYONE knows can't be repealed. What other ways will they waste their time and our money?

Odds continue to rise for a Romney defeat on Nov 6. Is it time now for Romney to declare bankruptcy? Should he dismantle his operation and outsource his campaign jobs? Creative destruction? Good for the economy if done sooner than later? I think Romney should give up fighting the inevitable, and just go find a new job. David, can I bet you $10,000?

Verse Palin; why do they try selling the campaign managers job to Obama. They use the campaign to say he is qualified more than Palin is; why is that? Aren't you Democrats worried that Obama can't give reasons of his US Senate job as a reference; only the way they raise money?

Despite tax payer money being invested in education and going to salaries of teachers, there has been long disputes about how teachers should be teaching in the classroom. Public school teachers are to maintain objectivity in the classroom, hence the separation of religion from school rooms, and biases of political orientation. As a journalist, I am to maintain objectivity, and it is even policy that I cannot donate to political campaigns. My job is to inform, and educate the public on topics pertaining to information. Teachers and professors do the same thing, yet they are allowed to donate to political campaigns (this becomes public information once they do it). So my first question is: Should teachers be allowed to donate to political campaigns? Does knowing your professors political orientation change the learning experience? Would you defend a professor that teachers with a bias in the classroom?
