I don't want a description or anything. I'm interested in a job in a law firm. I've seen my father keep his job for 26 years and he makes about 55,000 dollars a year or something. He's a word processor. What are the other lower positions?

I'm in college and I don't have too many job opportunities at the moment. I was wondering if anybody could enlightenment me on the atmosphere of a job like this. Is there a lot of pressure? Do people scream at you? Do you get fired if you don't make a minimum quota? Anybody's personal experience with the job, positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to get some information before I decide to go on an interview. Thanks

I have been unemployed for almost 6 months now. Tomorrow there is a job fair for a local grocery store that I am going to. It is nowhere near the ideal job that I want, but its seeming like my only option. Anyway, when I was 15 and 16 I worked at kroger over the summer. I was only a Courtesy Clerk, but since it was at a grocery store, I wanna put it on my resume. My duties were: Collecting carts from the parking lot Bagging customers groceries Occasionally helping customers out to their cars Running price checks on items Returning unwanted items back to their proper shelves Making sure bathrooms and the front of the store were kept clean I know this is bad of me, but I honestly dont know how to explain those duties any other way than I just did. I dont really want to put it like that on my resume because I fear it may hurt my chances by looking too juvenile. How can I spice it up? This wont be my only job on my resume though. My last job I was a supervisor at a mom pop store for a year and 8 months, and before that I worked in fast food. Both of those I have full and detailed job descriptions. Like I said, I just want to add the grocery store history to it to increase my chances since It is a similar environment.

I have over 20 years adm clerk, accounting clerk, billing and collections with no degree to back me up. School is a positive option, I rather not add on to my bills. To pay back the school loan could be a problem.

I have one of those useless college degree majors (geography) and am interested in breaking into the accounting field (low level, clerk, bookkeeping work, etc.) But I have absolutely no background in accounting/finance. I thought perhaps I could sign up with one of the accounting temp agencies and start with entry level work and eventually work my way up? But I don't know if they accept people with no finance background. Does anyone know?

I applied for a position as City Carrier transitional employee about 2 month ago. Well today I got a letter in the mail saying that I need to report to my local post office for an interview. My questions for everyone is what exactly does this job consist of? I mean like hours, pay, benefits, job responsibilities, etc... I realize they will probably tell me most of this at the interview but if anyone could give me a heads up I would appreciate it. Thanks
