I want to become a health care compliance officer. I have the credentials but no experience in the field.I have a Master Degree in the health arena. All the jobs I've seen or even called to inquire on require 3-5 years experience. Even Internships are not available. What can I do?

I was just informed by the State of Maryland that I met the minimum qualifications for the job position "Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Officer". They said the next step for me is to take a written examination. I asked what kind of questions would be asked of me in this written examination and they said it is just a general knowledge exam. I still want to have an idea of the kind of questions they would ask specifically because "general knowledge" seems a bit too broad. So does anyone happen to know what kind of questions are asked in written examinations for the job position "Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Officer" offered by the state of Maryland? Would they ask something like how the fire extinguisher is supposed to be used (i.e. pull, aim, squeeze and sweep)?

What do I need to do in order to qualify for a job as a compliance officer. I have a JD but no experience in finance. I've applied to many compliance positions but I have never gotten a call back. Is there any chance that I can get a job in compliance or should I just give up?

I'm currently claiming employment support allowance for severe anxiety and agoraphobia and I received a letter from the job centre saying: "We need to see you in order to discuss the benefit we are currently paying you. We need to ensure your payments are correct and it is essential that you attend this interview to discuss the matter. You should note that where there is doubt about whether the conditions for entitlement are met, we can suspend payment of your benefit." Because of my condition I'm obviously very nervous. I don't even think I'll be able to bring myself to go. Is this just a routine check up, or something more serious? Sorry if this is in the wrong category.

I am currently doing an internship at the financial aid office at my campus and there will be an opening in the Fall for which they would like me to apply. They are also employing me part-time over the summer. I can't say that I am very fond of this job from what I have learned thus far, but with the current state of the economy I can't be too picky. So, would this be a good job to start out with? What is the typical salary? Thanks!

I'm going to finish flight school soon with my commercial and multi. Are there any jobs out there that I can actually make a living at while building hours. Meat bombing is obviously not a money making job. I have no aspirations of flying airline. But I would like to fly corporate or charter. And really, if I can make good money in a small plane doing short hops, I would be happy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I have been offered a job in one of the biggest investment banks (which has weathered out this financial storm pretty decently), in Operations division. I am graduating may 2009 from university. I got this job because i did an internship there earlier. I am quite confused about the future opportunities for a person working in Operations division. Any experienced bankers, please help. Really appreciate it.

I'm in my third year and its a bit late to turn back now but, after years of thinking I don't think I can go threw with being a cop, even though I have wanted to for a long time. What are some jobs you've had with a CJ Degree? What are out of the box ideas that pay well? Not like probation, patrol, jail work etc. Ideas!
