I joined the army at the end of the army year so they only had one job left I don't mind it but I really want an administration job or a recruiter job. more administration cause that's what im going to be going to school for while im in the army so I want the experience? so is there a way I can change my job before it's time for me to sign my new contract. or do I just have to suck it up and wait for my 4 years to be up?

I have missed 16 credits or days. during a bogus contract some recruiter screwed up in. now for his mistakes I am being punished for wanting a better job. It was 5 months before I had a unit another 2 before unifoms and I got transferred 3 times. I don't know anything about the army since I am prior service Marine and I dont want this to screw up my benefits forever. What can I do?

I just received a job lead for a six month contract job in Hawaii. I live in Knoxville, TN, and I would be occasionally traveling back home to see my wife & kids, maybe once or twice a month. The recruiter for the job is asking what my hourly rate would be for an all inclusive rate, so they would not have to reimburse me for travel. How much should I add on top of my base rate to cover travel from Hawaii?

I have a meeting with my recruiter tomorrow for the Marines, and while I know the basic questions to ask, there might be some that slip my mind. Something that recruiters maybe aren't use to getting. Also, what separates the Marines from other branches. Some current or former military servers would help alot. Thank u.

I am going to talk to a recruiter on Tuesday about maybe joining ROTC and or the Army Reserve. What are some good things I should ask about? I know I should bring up general concerns about how long I have to drop it if I don't like it, how they have people get in shape, etc. Is there anything that you can think that is kind of unique that I should know about? Thanks.

I recently moved to Chesapeake, VA so my spouse could accept a better job and I have been searching for a job for a month now. I have worked in Operations and Logistics for over a decade and am looking for similar work. I have my resume posted on Monster, Career builder and several other job sites. I set aside 3-4 hours a day to search various companies websites and apply for jobs yet, I have had NO feedback. I think that I should have gotten at least a couples nibbles. Having never been unemployed before, I am feeling very discouraged and my self-esteem is really starting to nosedive. My brother says that I should expect a job search to take 3-6 months. I think thats crazy. Am I being unrealistic or is he?

I am in DEP right now and have created a list of 9 jobs. Everything on my list is either intel or aircrew besides number 9 which is security forces. I am wondering how they choose the jobs because someone told me not to put security forces on the list because that is always available even though it is number 9?

Besides my asvab score...can my recruiter get me the job that i request? or is there any way i could.
9 answers - Asked By: pens90 - 11/19/2008
Does anyone have a list or know appro~ what you can make transferring into that civilian job. I'm going to ace my ASVAB again. I took it before and scored the 99 percentile. But I have to retake it because its been a few years. I was thinking about possibly going to work for Lockheed Martin after the military. I'll be going into the Army or the Navy, still have some things I want to look at before I make my decision. Oh the Air Force was my first choice, but I'm too old and I don't meet age requirements. I don't plan on staying in the military. I am joining for the training and for the education. I don't have the money... i'm there for the money. I could care less about killing people that never bothered me. but, I'm no coward, I'll fight if need be. Right now I don't need to. I need money to pay for things. I also have 208 college credits and a college degree. I'm too old to be an Officer otherwise I would do that also.

Is he going to come up with my contract that same day? Will I have to sign anything? Or are we just going to talk about the military enlistment process in general, and schedule a test date to visit MEPS for the ASVAB? And is there anything I should look out for/be careful with? My appointment is next week. (It's for the Coast Guard Reserve).

I went to meps and I got a contract for IC. my recruiter said it's a great job but I don't know if he is just trying to make it seem like that. Is IC a good job?

I am not active duty yet. I will actually talk to a recruiter next week. I really want to stay in the military for as long as I can.. I was wondering how hard is it to reenlist in the air force? Can I join another branch when I am on IRR?

Completed all steps up to getting the physical. Recruiter doesn't call when he says he will, doesn't answer the phone or e-mails. It's been so frustrating.

I have been working for Hays recruitment in a single long term contract for 2½ years now. My boss wants to give me a salary increase, but Hays want a percentage of this for themselves. I know of another agency who do not operate in this way and I want to change to them. Is this possible? It's harder and more expensive to get rid of this agent than it was to get divorced...!!

I want to apply to army rangers after high school, so say if i talk to a recruiter tomorrow, how long will it take to get one? and if it takes like a a couple months or a year, what should i do?

At the moment I can't decide whether to join the Army and Air Force. I already talked to a Army recruiter, but there is no Air Force recruiter where I live. Though, currently, I'm leaning towards the Air Force.
