 | I am currently trying to job hunt and am interested in a financial counseling position with a non-profit compant. I DO NOT want to work for a credit card company...only non-profits! I am having a horrible time finding any jobs that are anything close to what I want to do. I am using Monster and Yahoo Hotjobs and can't find a thing. Anyone have any search tips for this career or any other sites that could help me? Thanks!! And btw, I will be an AFC (an Accredited Financial Counselor) soon so I have more than the needed experience and credentials.

 | I have been trying to find a general breakdown of the entire industry of computers and information technology, hoping there was a chart or directory that kind of broke it all down into major sections (like programmers, database administrators, systems designers, information managers, etc.) But so far I can't find such a chart that would help me pick a career. Does anyone know where I can go to kind of get the big picture?

 | I am working in IT and working in Automation Project. When I was in previous Assignment, my ex- manager insulted me in farewell that "I know everything. But during implementation he becomes a comedian" infront of my juniors. I was really worried and take it in a positive manner to prove how good how technially I am. Friends please help me how to overcome this negative comments and give a reply back to my Ex-Project Manager?

 | My wife has a B.S. degree in Operations and Logistics...an MBA in M.I.S. And she is PMI-certified as a project manager, has ITIL certification, and some Six Sigma experience...no certification.
She enjoys strategy creation and implementation tasks and roles and gets a little bit of those types of experiences in her current role. But, mainly she is a project manager and program manager.
How can she get a strategy job in corporate america? She wants to do more of what she feels passionate about and less of the administrative/repetitive tasks.
We live in the Chicago Northwest suburbs.
Oh...she also wants work/life balance since we have kids. So it would seem that management consulting with the big agencies would not be an option since they seem to work constantly.

 | I am moving from long-time developer to business analyst. The position has been newly created at my company, and I'm trying to help define my new role. We use the straight waterfall development process, and I'm wondering how the job of a business analyst specifically should be adapted to this methodology. I understand the role of BA varies greatly from org to org and particularly depending on which development process a company uses. Which job functions typically associated with a BA are particularly important when using waterfall? Also, which functions typically associated with a BA might be less appropriately handled by this position since we use the waterfall process?
A little about my organization that may be important:
- We do have a dedicated QA team that currently writes their own use cases which are used as test cases.
- For most projects, our "customers" are internal.
- Our products are for the most part built for an entire industry, not individual customers though they are sometimes adapted to specific implementations. Any external customers we may pull in would be more representative than comprehensive, as might be the case if we were a contractor or custom development shop.

 | I have always loved IT but I found myself working in the care industry and I have even got an NVQ3 in Health and social care. However, I love IT from a previous working experience too. I design websites in my spare time. Am about applying for a place in the university. I don't know what the job market is like for IT (computer science) people in the UK especially in 3 years time when I will be finishing. My heart says IT but my mind says nursing.
