Intelligence Job Questions & Answers

I'm an 18 year old female, just about to graduate high school. I am pretty sure I want to join the military, I'm just not sure which branch. I'm very interested in Intelligence, and the branch that offers me that job will likely be the branch I join. I have an ASVAB score of 92, with scores of 99 in Verbal Expressions and Paragraph Comprehension, which I would assume it would be helpful to be good at those subjects in an Intelligence job. None of my scores go below a 63, and the next highest score after that is an 85. So I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how likely it is I would obtain a job in Intelligence.

Does anyone have any idea if intelligence jobs in the army are prone to getting deployed more often than other mos'? im currently scheduled to get sworn into the airforce next week, but i can't seem to get over the fact that my job is not guaranteed and that i could very likely go into basic without even knowing what job i will have. There for i am considering going with the army instead. I have no problem with getting deployed, i am just curious as to how often they get deployed.

I am studying so hard for the ASVAB and I really want an "intelligence" job. Preferrably the "operations intelligence". But if I qualify for the job and they say there are none availabe what should I do? Should I tell them I will wait?

There was a mix up in MEPS and they put my number one job in the Air Force as Security Forces. But I wanted it to be Operation intelligence. So it was on my second. What are my chances of getting a OPERATION INTELLIGENCE job, i really want that job. And I was told that you only get one chance of one job.

I'm interested in the intelligence job to increase my skills and abilities. My question, which branch has the best combat intelligence program? What is the job like? Is it a lot of computer work? And answers will help.

I'm interested in this field and I was wondering which one had the best program? Also, are there any intelligence jobs that require a 4 year degree?

Well, I don't really know which branch I want to do. Either Army or Air Force. I decided to give the army a shot because it is known for being physical and I want to get in shape. I talked to my mom about it and she was in the army and said it would be better for me to join the air force, and that army is physical, and air force is more on intelligence. I am pretty smart. Today I did my ASVAB and got an 80? (pretty low for my intelligence, I didn't know half the answers in the automovitive and electronic section).. She is right. I do want to go with a branch that offers better jobs having to do with intelligence, rather than physical things... So, I was wondering, in your opinion, which branch would give me a better chance of getting some type of intelligence job... and if you know of any intelligence jobs in the military, what is it and what branch is it in.. Thanks in advance :D oh and, serious answers please.

Argument among friends, can't decide if you do or don't. Obviously intelligence jobs and ones in DC you do, especially security forces.

Since 2001 bc of new world trade laws we are outsourcing something like 50k jobs per month, and its amounting to millions of lost american jobs. So, with less and less labor jobs, the only jobs left to compete for in the US are higher intelligence jobs that a (no offense) poor asian wouldnt be able to be outsourced for. Does this have something to do with raising education prices?

Hey, I'm considering enlisting in the near future with the Air Force, and the jobs that peaked my interest were the intelligence jobs, particularly 1n4. I was wondering how enjoyable these jobs were. I know I'll probably get a lot of responses around the basis of "I couldn't tell you how you'd enjoy it." But from a personal level, did you like this job a lot? How were your co workers, etc.

I scored above 80 on the ASVAB. Although I have not yet enlisted, my recruiter tells me that there are intelligence jobs available. I know it is really early to look into this now, but I would like to know what the CIA needs. I have been looking at Psychological Operations Specialist (37F) and Intelligence Analyst (35F). Also, what is the chance of combat involvement in each of these MOS's?

I am enlisting to serve my country, but I was wondering about this in case I leave after my term. Would having an Intelligence job help more, or security forces (which is basically a cop) in order to get a job in the FBI?
