Market Planning Director Job Questions & Answers

I am trying to do an organization chart for British European. It is part of an assignment. They don't have one on their website but have the management team. There is a director of marketing, commercial planning, revenue management, customer services & logistics, sales engineering, aviation services, fleet planning, Technology and Finance. I need to find out what roles would come under these departments to continue my chart. If anyone can help even clarify what some of these director roles mean I would be grateful. I have no idea what jobs would go with their departments. Any and all help gratefully welcomed. Thanks. e.g. where does HR fit in? Would it be marketing, customer service or which section?

Would it be Marketing assistant, Market analyst, or even a Marketing Manager. None of these perhaps. I will have had internships during summer breaks in college but never a full year or more of just working for a company. I am getting ready to go to college for Marketing and am planning to get my MBA, so I was just curious what to expect out of my education when I get out. *I know I asked this in Higher education, but it was supposed to be in the Business section.

I need to write sample documents of this career and was wondering what type of documents marketing directors/managers have to write during their job? I'm in a college English class so any type of writing will do (Emails, Proposals, Etc). I am specifically looking for the types of writing done by marketing directors/managers in the nightlife and entertainment industry (nightclubs/restaurants in bigger cities) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I graduated with a 4 year degree in marketing in May. I've been searching for a job to use that skill in either event planning, advertising, management or purchasing since Jan. 2008. I've had my resume critiqued and applied to many jobs in multiple states and nothing has come of it. ANY suggestions? Where are all the entry level jobs?

I do not know the questions I just know how it is set up. I have all of the qualifications so how can I stand out and show them I am the one for the job. I really want this job and I do not want to be nervous!!

People seemed to get my previous question at first. Then, I got all kinds of advice on anthropology jobs and it was apparent that I didn't make my point very well. Because I am a mother with 3 young kids I have stepped away from my previous goals in anthropology. I have heard of others using their anthropology degree in other fields. I am curious to know what kinds of jobs are out there for someone who has my degree (because I still want to use it), but I only want ideas outside of traditional anthropology jobs.

Yesterday i was called into my bosses office and was told my job was being redefined. i was told instead of being a director of public relations, which includes planning a marketing campaign, designing ads, scheduling special events, etc. the company i work for wants a person to a be an external community relations/marketing director who attends meetings, is a member of various service clubs and who promotes the image of the organization at all public events. In addition, this new position would basically listen for complaints in the public and bring them back to the company to be reported, so they could be corrected. i was offered the chance to apply for this new position but if i didn't get it, i would be out of a job? the company indicated that the work i have previously done, marketing design, ad creation, web development, etc. would be jobbed out. any thoughts, ideas, plans, inspiration or wisdom. i'm 38 and a bit scared. help.

There is a list of job responsibilities, but no list of qualifications that they are looking for. Here is their ad: "Marketing and Promotion Coordinator This is a full-time position that entitles the employee to all benefits. This position reports to the director of communications and public affairs and consists of fundraising and developing public awareness through special events and promotions. General Responsibilities to include: - Design, implement, maintain, and track annual fund activities utilizing special events, promotions, and any other campaigns. - Assist chief development officer and director of communications in drafting an annual departmental plan in conjunction with the organizational budget and implement that plan within the confines of the overall development department budget. - Work as a team with development staff. - Serve as staff representative on appropriate committees. - Perform speaking engagements as assigned by the director of communications and chief development officer. - Conceptualize and execute special events. - Represent [the company] at benefit events and educational activities when necessary. - Assist annual fund manager with volunteer recruitment activities including presentations to businesses, civic groups, schools, etc. A complete job description is available upon request. Send applications & job resume by April 4, 2011" Should I email them and ask them for a complete job description and hope that it includes the qualifications they are looking for? Or should I just email and ask about qualifications? I have 1.5 years of marketing experience, but I don't have a degree of any kind so that's what I am worried about.
