I'm currently a junior in high school and I have started to look for different careers that I might be able to do once I head to college. The thing is, I've been getting A's in all of my subjects and I really don't have an idea of what I want to do. I've had my eye on becoming an animator, but jobs in that field are uncertain and don't pay as well as I would like. Are there certain careers that are related to art and technology that pay well?

I have been thinking about becoming a traditional(hand drawn) animator in Disney. I really like traditional animation and im pretty good at drawing and animating. What happens to animators if there is no film to animate? Also, do they use ALL of the animators in the studio or do they only pick a few of them?

Any form of computing/involving computer degrees jobs in the film industry, please list it and the specific degree needed for it/recommended for it. Link any sources, though not that stupid 'relevant to your question is to the right of the link' and 'ive searched it myself' spam thing. Thank, and no stupid answers. I know its a hard profession to get into, but my dream is to do something with computer in the film industry in California... so just state the degree and job, even if its tough to get into

Im giving some thought into applying for a University course relevant to something in the gaming industry like: - level designing - programming - game testing and some other jobs in the gaming industry. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what these kind of jobs are like and how hard they are to obtain where I live (Australia). Also, I'm not the most computer savvy person, does that matter?

Lately I've been freaking out because I want to become an animator more than anything and I'm not sure if I'm good enough every time I see someone else better than me draw. I'd say I draw better than most students can but I'm not great at realistic drawings. So I was wondering if you want to become an animator do you have to focus on drawing realistic things or can you just stick to cartoon drawings?
