I live in Texas. I am majoring in art education and I am thinking of minoring in spanish. In case it is hard for me to find an art teacher job, will an endorsement in my spanish minor help get a job as a spanish teacher? Is that how that works? What are the requirements or what has to be done for this endorsement deal?

Well I am 16 and I am thinking about what I want to do with my future. I really like art and photography and little kids (babys and toddlers). Well it seems like the art teacher has the most amazing job. She gets to paint her room and be really creative and she gets to do art and such all day. Do you have to have a teaching degree to be a middle/high school teacher?? Thanks!!

I'm thinking about being an elementary school art teacher. I think I would really enjoy that job, because I love kids and I love art. However, I am not the greatest drawer in the world and I'm sure that in order to be an art teacher, you need to draw well. I also don't want to have to constantly deal with kids who act up. Are these things I should be worrying so much about? I would like to especially hear from some experienced art teachers, but anyone is welcome to give their opinion! Thank you.

I am currently studying to be a high school art teacher and would like to teach studio/fine arts and possibly art history at a high school. I would like to move to Alaska as soon as I graduate, and am wondering if it is possible to get a job there teaching art. I know the state of Alaska doesn't regard art as the most important subject, but there has to be some jobs out there for me right?

I am an art teacher from the US considering a move to Ireland. Are arts specialists common in public schools? I have a BFA in VA and a MAT in AE. I took my husband to DUblin and we noticed a lot of construction (his field) so our next question is how difficult would it be for me to find a job as an art teacher (Kindergarten-12th grade certified in the states)? We are open to all locations.

I'm looking to be an art teacher at a private christian school, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any requirements that must be met before I'd be able to apply for a job. I'm currently a college student a year away from getting my associates in fine arts, and I work with kids at a day care.

I have an associates degree in art. I've been an after school art teacher for five years. I want to move on to something else. I have no interest in doing more college. I have very little money saved as it is. What are some other jobs I'd be qualified for? I went to the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale. I don't have money to go back to school. Job suggestions please?

Hello everyone. I'm a freshman in college majoring in Art and trying to decide what career path to take. I'm extremely good with kids and I'm thinking of being an elementary level art teacher :) I will be going for my masters and I would prefer teaching at a public school. Do you know the average yearly salary is for this job? Thanks!

Our new school principal has been making cutbacks by laying off a bunch of teachers to save up to construct some new facilities on our campus. My art teacher was recently told that they were looking for someone to replace her, and if someone more qualified came along, she would be let go. She told me she's scared she's not going to come back next year. I want to help her keep her job, but I don't know how. She taught me a lot freshman year, and I've continued to work with her in a club she moderates that lets students create/donate portraits for veterans and their families. She's also the only teacher who teaches sculpture, and I know at least 50 students signed up to take that class next year. She's a good person, she needs this job, and I know a lot of students would be upset if she left. I was thinking I could do a petition, but I don't really know how that would help or how to start one. Is there any other way I could help her? **i don't really know what category this would go under, so I'm just going to post this in a bunch of different categories until I get an answer
