I'm an artist looking for a paying artist job. I already work at a petsite known as nutrinopets, but I currently am not having payment due to lack of funds [and by the way it appears, the site is going to die soon anyway] does anybody know where I could find an artist job [that doesn't require college degree's, I'm currently still in high school as a senior] Possibly even another petsite in need of an item/pet/ncp artist? or maybe suggest something else to me?

I love the arts but I don't like to be the artist. What jobs are art related that would allow me to travel. If nothing in the art allows a lot of travel then what other careers do? I just want to be able to leave the USA.

I'm quiet and like to keep to myself. I do have a customer service/sales/graphic artist job that I enjoy but stresses me out. I am creative and love to paint, take pictures, and create any craft projects. I have an AAS in Computer Technology, but I'm tired of staring at the computer all day, and I don't want to do that for the rest of my life. I'd love to pursue an Art or Music degree, but I am afraid it won't provide for my family in the future. Any ideas?

My sister in law is having to go with her husband to have him give her a tattoo for his interview there. That just seems odd. She says he's required to actually give someone a tattoo for the interview. I think he could just show a portfolio of what he's done. I'd like to know if this is normal and if it's not, what are normal interviews for a tattoo artist like?

I'm thinking about getting certified as a makeup artist. I would like to do theater makeup/free lancing for events. Is anyone on here a makeup artist? I've been searching for jobs on the bigger job search engine sites, but not really finding anything, makes me wonder if it's wise to pursue as a career.

I am looking to change careers. I have a BFA in photography and have taken graphic design classes. I have invested personal time in learning the programs used in graphic design studios and production, I still have a lot to learn though, to be considered proficient in these programs, I feel. I have designed my own Christmas cards and card designs for the last 18 years as well. I am trying to get an interview ( I am willing to start at the bottom!!) with a company for a layout artist position. I applied but I know my work expereince isn't what they're looking for (i've worked with special needs kids for 9 years), but I know I could do this job. What do I have to do to make myself look more qualified, short of lying??? I have personal experience and a great interest in graphics and would like to get this layout artist job as a kicking off point. How can you get the experience needed for a job if no one will give you a job to begin with?? What can I do at a personal level?? Thanks, ~Lisa
