I am starting a new job. I worked for an aircraft company, and I aquired a really cool picture. It is an artist sketch of the plane I worked on. One of the managers paid to have the artist create it, it was done with ink. Would it be inappropriate to bring it to my new job...which is non aircraft related? This picture doesn't really have anything that specifically ties it to my old company, except for the plane itself. I feel its important to know where you came from, and it might give my new co-workers a sense that I am proud of the work I do. What do you guys think? I also received another picture, that has comments that co-workers had left on the matte around the picture. I beleive I will be keeping this one at home!

I'm not even sure what jobs are out there, I just know that I love history and I want to be able to work with it hands on. Maybe restoring or protecting objects in a museum or historical research library. I especially love antique documents, and I currently work in a public library. Help please? Oh duh, I do mean BS degree.

"The legal arguments focused on a scheme introduced in the 1990s to iron out historic pay differences between male and female workers. Although the scheme largely did this, male workers, who were facing a drop in pay as a result, were given an extra layer of pay protection to top up their earnings for the next several years. Lawyers for the women workers successfully argued that this scheme illegally perpetuated earlier pay inequalities." So why did the UK government deliberately carry on overpaying male employees, even after it had been shown to be unequal? And when men are women are paid differently - should the women's salary be raised, or the men's salary lowered? :-) http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/law/article4422760.ece Know It All - council workers are paid according to salary bands, not negotiation. And negotiation skills are completely irrelevant unless you are a salesperson, so why should employers reward that? :-) Beep - no that was another poster, I always block where I feel an answer is sexist or offensive, such as with your remarks yesterday :-)

Hello! I'm going for art education, to become an art teacher. I would like to know what sort of jobs in the art/graphic design/education area I could possibly get that would help relate to my field. For example, tutoring would be useful from the education standpoint, caricature artist or print shop worker for the art/graphic design standpoint. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to what might be a good job that would be useful to have and know? Thank you!
