When I worked for this company, one of the ownefs put plaques on the wall with the names of employees who had received special training. Well I left that job in October of 2007 and my name is still on their wall. I feel that if I am no longer their employee that they don't have the right to use my name.

I was shopping and was asked if I had a college degree and would be interested in a job there as a manager. And i said yes, and will have an interview next week, and I know that when you apply for the position as part time impact or model, that you "should" wear there clothes to the interview. But what about for the position as management? And if so, would it be ok, to wear a piece of item from Abercrombie, since they are sister stores? Thanks

I want to display a catalogue online via my website and the descriptions are typed into either Microsoft Excel or into a table in Microsoft Word for making other catalogues to be printed. I would like to be able to link these to an online photo gallery so pictures can be enlarged etc. If anyone knows how to do this or an online gallery that would do it, the help would be much appreciated.

Could it be that we should be showing the most admiration for all the construction workers, farmers, factory workers and other labour-intensive workers who are, in actuality, the people that form the pillars of human civilisation? And not our top directors, CEO's, and politicians - who are simply organisers and facilitators? Just because they control our hard-earned material resources, we assume that we earn our money from them, as opposed to the reality - that they earn their money from us, all without lifting a finger to earn it themselves? Could things be upside-down when it comes to who we should admire/respect? I am still working in a manual-labour intensive job, and to me it seems like much harder, "real" work. There is no time for boredom, no room to complain, and no real promotion prospects - just pure work, with little reward.

I am interested in getting a job at a Department store cosmetics counter (Macy's, Nordstrom etc...), I have been told to walk in and speak only to the Department manager by some of the department store employees. I just don't know what to do or say. I have an outstanding resume and cover letter as well as letters of recommendation but I don't know how I should approach the manager? should I give my letters of recommendation at the time I meet them or when they call me for an interview? Any advice from anyone that's gone this route please. Thanks,

I am currently employed at Costco for a seasonal position and I am absolutely thankful that I got hired by such a good company like Costco. I absolutely love the job and really hope that I can stay past Christmas and stay on permanently. Anyways, how could I help to improve my chances of that happening? I am always on time for my shifts as I am always 15 minutes early prior to the start of my shift, I went in the other day when they called me to come in and help out, and I am always working hard. I try to provide outstanding customer service with a smile and really try my best. What else can I do to improve my chances so I can make it a career with this excellent company?
