I've heard you need a degree to be a florist, but I just want to work in one, helping with sales or displays. I can't find any decent information on the subject, and was wondering if anyone could supply me with their own knowledge. I don't want to call the shop until I have some idea of what to expect. Could you help?

Right now I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I'd like to get out and find a part time job to get out of the house for a bit. I have a great resume (I've done everything from retail, weather forecaster in the military, to welding car frames and desk work) but I have lots of tattoos and typically bright hair. I'm willing to tone the hair down, but I'd rather be at a job that's accepting of my personal taste. Any ideas?
