So like the title says, what is the basic salary of a graphic web designer here in Kuwait? I'm trying to look for companies to apply to and also wondering if anyone can suggest a good place around here that can give me good pay.
I'm a fresh graduate with 1 year experience only.
Aside from the job of Graphic Designer and Web Designer... What kind of job can utilize graphic design and web design skills?
Yellow- So you are of the impression that only people who are JUST graphic designers do graphic designs? There are no other fields where that skill comes in handy?
I am a self taught graphic & web designer. I have a job doing just that. I am also in the process of creating my own website to sell my designs on. Eventually I would like to own my own store front selling my products and have a printing company in back.
I would like to take some business classes to learn more about running a business. Does anyone have any other class suggestions? I am not looking for a degree...I am just looking to gain knowledge.
I've been graphic designing and web designing for almost going on 3 years. I'm really interested in being a professional graphic and web designer in the future of my career. Believe it or not, I'm just a teen who is just 14 going on 15 of the month of July. I'm looking for a job online involving graphic designing, if you know a website who hires people for graphic designing then please give me a response.
I know that I have to make portfolio to show what I can do. Where do I start finding people to land a job? What program do you suggest? Should I get the entire set of cs4 and css? How does the whole web designer job work? Do I just sell the layouts to people and companies that's it or do they also keep me to update whenever they need something to type in?
I am a Graphic/Web Designer and once I finally get done with one project I'm already behind on another. It's my whole life. Any other designers out their that just want to say f**k it and go into the service or be a truck driver...I'd make more money that way too probably. I don't have time to do my laundry, clean my apt. and so on.
I am a seasoned graphic designer but have been in a sort of "time capsule." Since I have been doing the same design work for a corporation, I haven't had to learn anything new for the past 5 years. However I am looking to find a new job but I want to keep up on my skill sets. So what programs, apps, coding language would be necessary? I would like to consider that I am both, a print and web designer.
If you want to be a graphic/web designer or animator because a degree is not essential.
Do most firms in those field need a qualification that you graduate from university?
I know graphic and web designers use adobe photoshop alot but what are some other unconventional jobs that use photoshop

I've been in a graphic and web designer for about 6 months now, and I have a pretty good portfolio. I don't have the funds to host my own site. Are there any decent sites that allow you to create a free portfolio gallery?
I am a recently qualified Graphic / Web Designer. Every position I have applied for I have been unsuccessful due to my lack of experience in the industry... but how do you get experience if nobody will employ you ?!? It's frustrating having spent so much time, energy and money for a qualification I can't use ! Any advise?

To all Graphic Designers or former Graphic Designers- Do you like your job and why?
I'm an Illustrator/Graphic Designer/Web Designer/Photographer. I have a contract job that stops in a few months and I'm dreading going out there and finding a job in my field because it's quite difficult these days. I'd like to step up my portfolio presentation a bit with a tablet. Not an expensive one like an iPad but one with a nice screen and allow me to do slideshows. (Powerpoint, Lightroom, or even Flash but I know that's probably not possible). The main question is, I have a traditional hard cover portfolio(s), do you think someone who wants to look at my portfolio will prefer "the old school" way of doing things? Or perhaps they'd be more impressed? I'd love some real professional opinions whether they are artists, hiring managers, and just other points of view. Also, what would be a good choice of tablet that would suit my needs that won't cost an arm and a leg?
I am considering looking into Web Designing as a possible career after i leave college... But I was wondering if I need to be good at Graphic Design to be a Web Designer?
Like, how do Web Designers come up with graphics and logo's (and stuff like that) for a Website they are designing?
I'm in California, and would like to stay here. I've looked into Graphic Design as a major [but I am a terrible drawer; I just don't know what else would work when you want to be a web designer]. I also considered the local community college's Comp. Science course, because it has an emphasis on wed development.
I'm open to suggestions, advice, help, ANYTHING. Thank you (:
