I'm an excellent typist, I have an analytical mind, I'm familiar with and have worked on spreadsheets and word processing, I can read and edit HTML code, I'm a decent graphics designer. The job I retired from was with AT&T, I was a force manager and a group manager of long distance operators. I am 59 years old and suffered a stroke in 2001 leaving me with some disability, which is why I wish to work from home.

I plan on going to study 3D Motion Graphics using Cinema 4D, Maya, or any equivalent program. I also plan on specializing in 2D programs such as After Effects and Final Cut. But my main worry is: Would it be easy to get a job for being a Motion Graphics Designer? I want to have the job in New York (where I live) and REALLY don't want to be a freelance designer Please give some examples where I can find a job. Thank You!

We're having 'mock interviews' at my school which is basically fake interviews to help us with careers in our future. There were limited jobs to apply for so the only one I could really pick was graphics designer. I'm writing my resume and I have no idea what to put in the Career Objective in relation to graphics design. it's not my goal in real life but in this instance it has to relate to that.

Hello, myself and my girlfriend are Canadians looking to move to Edinburgh, Scotland mid 2010. She is a graphics designer, and I a cook. I was hoping someone could tell me the average income we could expect to make (hourly, weekly, monthly, yearly which ever is fine). Also if anyone has any insight into how much the average flat costs per month would be great too. Thanks a ton. Tim.
