I know it was released in 1984 and originally just called System, but I don't know who was the main idea and designer behind it. Not the engineer of the physical hardware and computer but creator of the virtual graphical user interface. So basically, who is the Bill Gates of Mac OS?

Hi! Ok, well at first I wanted to become a product designer, but now I think I want to become a User Interface Designer. The problem is that I kind of don't know what degree I need for this. If you know, please let me know! thanks a lot.. are you sure about computer science? I don't think so. isn't computer science more about computation and information?

Okay so I am going to school and pursuing a degree in GCAD (Graphic communication and design). My school doesn't offer a specific Web design degree, although there are a decent chunk of Web Design classes you can choose to take under the GCAD degree. I plan to take all of them that I can. Now I've been researching online and most entry jobs say you need an associate's degree in the field. Does this graphic design degree count?

Hi all! What job description am I seeking if I need to make a business idea come to life in the form of a website. This website would allow users to upload their own information (sort of like this site where we all have our little animated pictures and personalities, etc.) and would be on a sophisticated scale. I am assuming it would be someone who would be able to write code? But, what kind? Should this be a programmer, web designer, or someone else? Thanks in advance!

I have the Houdini on the Arena platform. I don't understand what's going on. I don't understand the output and sometimes I can't tell whether it's calculating or not. If anybody could help me out with this or suggest a different chess engine system and how to use it, It would be very helpful. Plus points for the best answer. Thanks.

As a user experience designer I can see the value of learning conventions and using existing interface libraries, but from where I'm at today that seems so boring. I'm asking in general too, does someone who has mastered a skill or job find that skill or job now uninteresting?

I want to start my own computer company (like as a compeditor of apple, hp, Dell, etc). What I want to do is be like the main designer. I want to design hardware, and and software we make. But I'm not good with codeing and stuff. What I want to do is design the user interface of the software. And I also wanted to invent ideas when it comes to the technology that goes into it. Is this a possible career? I was thinking it wouldn't be hard to do multiple things if it was actually my company. What do you think?
