A former video editor with no playing experience was supposed to coach 2 future hall of famers to a championship? It's a miracle that the Heat even got to the finals and won 2 games.

And I'm thinking of becoming a video editor since I started young and I'm really good at it. :) It would help if ya could leave me like a category (list) of certain video editing jobs and what there salary is. Anyone know any good legal resources that states what rights a video editor has under a work for hire agreement? Need more info other than just " you own nothing" there has to be some laws or more legal information, because if its simply "you own nothing" then why would anyone put in the time and effort to be a video editor, if there was nothing to protect you then you would be screwed every time you work. There has to be more information, I've been googling but maybe my terms are not strategic enough.

I had a contract with a freelance video editor to do a 3 day job. Our contract stated that he was to pay his own taxes and the project was fixed fee. 7 months later i find out i am the primary contributor to his unemployment claim. The future payout to him 3 times what the original contract was. This doesn't seem right. If it isn't what proof do i need to deliver? The documentation is very vague.

Hi, everyone. I wanted to know the difficulty level from perhaps a person that's had experience in the film field. How easy or difficult is it to actually get a job as a film director, or producer, or perhaps a cameraman, or video editor; is it easier in a big city? Thanks!

How does one go about becoming a video editor and who should a video editor contact about vacancies. Is it feasible that a person could learn video editing from scratch without any formal training, like with final cut or does a video editor need to have knowledge of all editing software and equipment, in which case do they have to study at an institution? If so, what institutio or what course have you attended to become a video editor? How many years does it take to become a professional video editor. Is there any industry recognised qualification?

Any video editors that does this simple and free? Aside from windows maker which froze on me and I haven't even started.
