I have already visited the usajobs.gov site but it they don't post listings for cosmetology, not that I can find anyway. Any suggests would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hair Stylist or Barber? How different is Barbering school to Cosmetology school? Could I go to Cosmetology school (which I have found a cheaper school than barbering in Boston) then still have the choice of working as a barber after that? Or are the programs way to different from each other.

I often get highlights as well as a haircut, which is a relatively tedious process for the barber -- she has to pull strands of my hair through a hairnet with holes in it, then brush bleach over it all, then wash it out, then cut it and then use the straightening iron to make it straight. This can take 2 hours, and it costs about $40 to $50. Last time I gave her a 20?ip -- $10 and I got the impression that she thought that was excessive. But heck, she did a lot of work. So what percentage is most typically given?

I'm a barber and my job doesn't allow me to walk or run around much, but I'm not sitting down. I also do cardio for 30 minutes a day, either on the treadmill or biking. So am I still considered sedentary? I want to stay healthy, am I getting the proper activity for being in my 20's? Or should I workout more?

I started this job 2 months ago and it is an administrative position(College Assistant). I have applied to some internship positions and I might get the internship. I would think that it is preferable to do the internship as it is related to my major(Computer Science). I cannot keep both positions since I am in the US on a F-1 Student visa and so I can work only 20 hours. I need to choose. What can I tell my current supervisor? I feel bad to leave because it has only been 2 months I am not essential. Actually, I am temp and part-time.
