Customer Care Representative Job Questions & Answers

Right now I work as a customer care representative and legal document editor for a big company and loathe it. I'm looking for a receptionist job. Would I be better off working as a receptionist for a big company (probably lots of benefits, paid time off) or for a smaller family-owned business (might be more enjoyable, more friendly relationships, etc.). Receptionists, any thoughts?

I just recently started a new job as a customer care representative for a major cable company, and night after night after night I keep dreaming about being at work, taking calls, and explaining customers bills to them. It's really a shame I'm not getting paid overtime for any of it. Anyways, how the hell do I make it stop?! XD

Has any one been a CVS Customer Care Representative recently? I have a phone interview for the position in a few days, it's going to be really inconvenient to do the interview, so before I jump through hoops to do it, does anyone know how much they get paid? Because I have to make at least a certain amount, so if it's less than that I won't bother with the interview.

Hi, I have a business a small business rather, I just started this month. Im already done hiring employees, an order processor the one who process orders, sending invoices and etc and also a customer care representative who can guide them if they have difficulties in ordering. I created my business only in Facebook and expected to grow next year.I've planned everything to make it successful and will be making a website intended for this business so probably ill be hiring employes by then. My problem is probably next year the 1st or 2nd sem ill be back to school to continue my studies but i might dont have enough time to calculate the total orders, profit, other cost and lastly dealing with my suppliers. Im planning to hire someone just a contractor who can deal with my suppliers and calculate overfees. Im quite hesitant because he/she will deal to my suppliers im not buying with them in wholesale I always only order in retail but sometimes in wholesale im afraid that he/she might also build the same business and order also to my suppliers. Is there any other way where my employee cant know the my supplier/company name but can talk to them regarding the fees of my orders like an email but she/cant see the email address? or maybe an expert employye intended to promises to hide supplier's informations? if there is such what is the job title for that? Thank u very much!!!!

The customer care representative should be one who works in an organization and deals with walk-in customers. The Stock Clerk receives and maintains stock and issues to members of staff when required. The Stock Clerk also maintains the inventory records.

I just had the worst experience ever with an agent over the phone, he was so rude! I called the customer service # to ask where I can submit a complaint, but they were not very helpful either. Is there any way that I can make my voice be heard in their corporate office?

It's not like these people are paid to satisfy your shopping experience. That's the company's job. And you would think they would be more concerned about the quality than who can help them find what their you looking for.

I think a customer care representative/agent. P.S. I'm just asking this question for fun. It's not anything serious, so I DO NOT expect any answers like "you cannot determine that according to a person's sign, bla bla bla."

I do not think am good at dealing with the public at large. Can you all suggest ideas for a job for someone with this "handicap?" I have been a teacher, grocery store cashier, waitress, and customer service representative, (not in that order), but now I am burnt out on that kind of thing. I am very willing to go back to school, train, etc. I am looking for as many different answers as possible. Thanks!

I think most of my customer service by phone is from operators in Asia. When people in the US cannot find jobs, why are banks allowed to ship good jobs to other countries? I personally have been looking for a job for 1 year and 6 months with no luck. And I will take ANYTHING...even though I have a Master's Degree.
