 | I applied for a job one time. The posting said it was an engineering job working in the lab. When I got the interview, the guy said it was a customer service job where I would be stuck on the phone all day. I totally ran away from it.
Another job I quit from was basically an IT Help Desk job. Now they are posting the job where you do system administration tasks and once in a while, you would support internal customer/employees...when actually, the job is to only support internal employees by being on the phones all day with rarely any System Administration tasks.
Can they lie like that?

 | I am trying to do an organization chart for British European. It is part of an assignment. They don't have one on their website but have the management team. There is a director of marketing, commercial planning, revenue management, customer services & logistics, sales engineering, aviation services, fleet planning, Technology and Finance. I need to find out what roles would come under these departments to continue my chart. If anyone can help even clarify what some of these director roles mean I would be grateful. I have no idea what jobs would go with their departments. Any and all help gratefully welcomed. Thanks.
e.g. where does HR fit in? Would it be marketing, customer service or which section?

 | I have a BS in Criminal justice and there are little to no entry level jobs in that area...especially b/c i have no experience.
It seems im going to just have to work at a bank or as a customer service rep.. =( Who else is going through a similar situation.??
Jason, your probably right..but from what i see every entry level job for criminal justice requires some type of experience be it internship..which i never did.

 | Im just curious considering all the outsourcing that gave jobs to Indians and Chinese people instead of Americans.... It's a shame that such an interesting profession has to be thrown to foreigners who have lousy english and just piss you off when you call customer service.

 | I tried working in a factory because I thought, great no customer service or communication skills needed, but I still had to work with coworkers I really didn't get along well with. I was fired for not being a team player.
It's hard to get along with others and I really just want a job where I can work alone or with objects and be left alone in peace.

 | I know there are lots of jobs to be had in the IT industry, but one of the most common descriptions of IT I've heard of is that it is geared more towards "working with people" than Computer Science is.
I'm just wondering to what extent this description should apply to it.. are Info Tech jobs heavy on customer service and the such?
