I always thought that working in the travel industry would be fun! I prefer not to work in a airport as I have tried that one already and wasn't too happy. I was hoping to get a little more information on position from those who know about it or are working as travel agent themselves. How do I get my foot in the door? Thanks in advance!

What are some really good careers that allow enough time to spend at home with family. Since my father was gone all the time, I always wanted a job that would make it to where I would be home for my children. But I thought of teaching, and yet so many people tell me that it takes away alot of time. Any suggestions?

Ok, so I'm looking at different part time job options for when I graduate school. I don't want to go to college but I'm will to do a year or two of tech school, or on the job training would be best. I was wondering if you need any extra schooling to be a travel agent or if that is even an option for a part time job. I know the demand for travel agents just depends on the economy at the time but how popular is that now? And how much, if any training is involved. If anyone out there is a travel agent, any imput would be appreciated.

I'm going to a job interview for a Product manager role in online travel. I have no prior experience in marketing. The company knows that but i want to be able to answer the typical behavioural questions "how do you go about" type: how do you go about managing budget? how do you go about defining the product strategy for products ? how do you go about organising promotional activities to achieve performance outcomes and deliver revenue targets ?

I just got back from a trip to NYC and I had to do A LOT of research and planning for that trip. I'm wondering if planning a trip to Hawaii in the future is going to be twice as hard to research. And if it would be beneficial to just go to a travel agent. Any feedback would be great!
