Member Service Representative Job Questions & Answers

I recently relocated to a different city, a more expensive city compared to the one I used to live in. Once I arrived here, I decided to apply for jobs within the industry I have experience in so that I was able to get some type of offer in this economy. That meant applying to positions that I was well over-qualified in. I had to bring in some type of income and FAST. I was able to get a position at a local credit union. Perfect. I have tons of experience in credit unions and I loved working at my last one. UNFORTUNATELY, I have gone from being Assistant Branch Manager ALL the way down to Member Service Representative which is basically a Teller/Personal Banker. I'm having a hard time getting used to it. Getting used to the new company is hard. Getting used to a handful of management is hard (Rather than just one manager.) I'm sure once I receive my first paycheck and notice the pay cut, that will hit really hard too. Tomorrow is barely my 4th day on the job but I'm kind of dreading it. Can anybody offer any advice? Note: The relocation was absolutely necessary and un-avoidable.

How to prepare for a Future Shop interview? I have a scheduled interview with Future Shop for a Customer Service Representative position. This is my first interview and i'm fairly nervous. I was wondering, whatquestions I should expect? They have already asked me why I would like to work for them (and obviously got the answer they were looking for) and also a few other general questions. Is there anyone who can help me with what to expect? Thank You SO much for the help!

I am really interested in the degree. I dont know much about it and since there are not many schools that offer the program, finding information is rather difficult. Any job that you know of would help a bunch, government or public.

I have an interview at an independent agent's office in my hometown. The job description reads "hourly pay + bonus/commissions." Some other searches read "SALARY" + bonuses/commissions. I am wondering if anyone knows what to expect for an hourly salary, AND how much an average amount in bonuses/commissions would be?

Since everything is being fully blamed, on the elected federal government, and the President, which clearly shows unicameralism, not a bicameral legislature. So, if the United States, is being run by a unicameral government. Why are billions of US tax dollars federally being spent, on members of the house of representatives, congress, and the Senate. Also on state elected governments, governors, mayors. When these political positions don't ever exist within a unicameral government. Which only one government, president, political leader, sovereign, Prime Minister or dictator, fully runs and controls the whole country. All US states, have public elected state governments, governors, and mayors who are vote elected by the citizens living within the state, not through federal elections. Their job, is to fully manage the state, and the distribution of federal and state funds, for schools, roads, community and emergency services. As well to bring in new business, and corporate investment interest to the state. Also to promote, state, interstate, and foreign tourism to there elected state. To create jobs, and financial prosperity to the states economy. So, when did the public elected state governments, governors and mayors responsibility's, voted by citizens who live within a state. Suddenly all become the full responsibility of the federal government, and the President ? Also, why aren't you all knocking on your state governments, governors, and mayors doors. Asking why aren't they doing the job, they were elected to do?

If the deficit is so important isn't it crazy to take tax increases off the table? The wealth gap keeps growing and the "job creators" aren't creating jobs, so we might as well raise their taxes(a whopping 4?to help solve this debt crisis. Or is Boehner trying to make the economy worse to take Obama out?

I'm having a rough time, just in general, with life. Having trouble with my boyfriend, our daughter is getting into everything. So its gotten to where I don't feel like I should sign up for classes next semester(I can't even concentrate on the rest of my classes this semester, and may end up failing one or two of them). I'm also going to be starting a job in about 2 weeks. I don't feel like I'll have time for classes, plus the added stress from my boyfriend(all he is to me is stress). So what happens to the pell grant I got and the NYS tap award? Would I have to pay back the money from this semester? Do they just take back the other half of the grant? What happens to it all?
