Are there any good aerospace engineering jobs in the East Coast, favorably in New York or any states one state over? I would like to work with Boeing, but it's located in Illinois. I plan on going to college for this major in CA, but get a job in NY, so when I grow up it'll be easier to visit my parents and support them. So are there any good aerospace engineering jobs that have a good pay and around the New York/ East Coast area? Thanks!

I just seem to notice more and more job titles with the word engineer in them when I cannot find any engineering aspects to the job role at all. For example, I have a friend who used to a Technical Support Consultant, but is now a 'Intel Support Engineer', although he tells me he does the same job. What you you think? Perhaps someone here with a engineering job title but who does no engineering work could comment too?

I am a rising senior in college and I am interested in working with a corporation's philanthropy or community development sector. Most corporations have foundations to support their community interests/giving but they don't provide information about how to become employed with these foundations. No information is listed in their career/jobs section either (most results are the popular finance/engineering jobs). Furthermore, philanthropy/non-profit job search websites don't return results for major companies. Can someone tell me how I can get my foot in the door for this industry?

I applied for a job one time. The posting said it was an engineering job working in the lab. When I got the interview, the guy said it was a customer service job where I would be stuck on the phone all day. I totally ran away from it. Another job I quit from was basically an IT Help Desk job. Now they are posting the job where you do system administration tasks and once in a while, you would support internal customer/employees...when actually, the job is to only support internal employees by being on the phones all day with rarely any System Administration tasks. Can they lie like that?
