If so, could you please tell me how the job fairs actually work. Also, how do the usher jobs works? Are you just told what your selling and which area of the park your selling them in? Or are you able to choose? Also, what is the hourly wage? Thank you!!! =) The Red Sox job thing on the site says that they dont have any openings. As for the intern thing, i really wanted to enter but i dont turn 18 until 7/20 and the deadline i 6/30 =(

I'm 17 and am currently taking a year off for person reasons before attending Sixth Form College in order to gain the A-Levels I need to apply for university. However, I am really, REALLY short of money at the moment and don't want to waste all of these months doing nothing when I could be working to earn some money for university or obtaining work experience that will count towards my applications in the future. I've had two jobs in department stores in the past and it's something I don't enjoy at all. Granted, in an economic climate such as ours I can't afford to be picky, but I feel like I'm doing an absolutely awful job when there could be somebody else who could be doing a much better one. I've never been particularly confident and have social anxiety issues that prevent me from fully engaging with the public, which is something I'm constantly trying to work upon and improve, but it takes time and it isn't easy. I would really love a job, but those in retail are basically the equivalent of selling your soul and the pay by most of the stores near me is absolute shit. Basically, I was just wondering whether there were any other jobs that a 17-year-old could realistically have, besides those in retail? Any suggestions are welcome, and if it helps, I really want to study English, drama and/or film at university, so anything that could be beneficial towards that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I applied for a job at a movie theatre. It's called warren movie theatre. It was opened last april. I turned in my job application on July 8, 2008. I called them back after 5 days and they approved my application. They haven't call me back for an interview since then. What questions do they ask in an interview? What should I do? What should I do to let them call me back?

My sister is coming to the wedding and my mother is pressuring me to give her something to do. My sister and I have never really gotten along so I had no problem not involving her. She's not very reliable and has awful mood swings. I'd like to give her a job but one that won't have her greeting guests and a job that if she freaks out before hand and doesn't do it it won't be a big deal. Any ideas?

I'm a graphic artist in Salem Oregon who has always loved to work with my hands creating sculptured gifts for my friends and family. Everyone says I should be sculpting for a living, or should start up my own business. I would love to work in the sculpting industry, but where do you even look for job listings? I've checked out sculptor.org, they rarely have anything for actual job listings. It seems like a field that is more ghost than substance. Everything leads to resources, but never to actual JOBS. Any tips anyone can suggest? (and please, no plain resource sites, or organization sites . Found way too many resources, and too few actual job listings)
