I am currently a para in a school district in Minnesota. I am looking in to going back to college and finishing my student teaching. Our business has a limited income. We want to reach people from our area and/or people who may want to relocate here - small community by a decent sized University. We need qualified early childhood teachers. What is the best way to reach them without paying equal to their salary to advertise the job opening? All serious answers appreciated. Thank you again. All current employees know of opening. We have a sign in front of our building stating we are hiring.

I am 20 years old. During the day I work at a day care. I am certified to be an Early Childhood Teacher, I have taken the state approved Infant and Toddler Course, I am CPR certified. I am going to start babysitting for a family with a 3 1/2 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. I am wondering what I should charge for the job.

I am wondering how much more difficult it will be for me to get a teacher job with a DUI on my record from when I was younger. I have had no offenses since and am a semester away from student teaching. I get nervous thinking about what will happen once I graduate because I fear I may be judged because of that mistake I made. Has anyone had experience with this ? And please, no lecturing. I recognize my mistake and have moved on and improved my lifestyle. I particularly would like advice on what I might say during the interview process when this is mentioned. Keep in mind, I am fully qualified and passionate about teaching early childhood. I am truly a good person, I just had a rough time in my late teens. I am sober now and have worked very hard to get to where I am today.

Part of my program for my university is completing a trial interview. It is all fake, but it is a good representation of an actual interview. What are some questions I can ask the principal (who will be conducting the interview) during the process? I want to be an early childhood teacher, so something related to this field will be helpful. I realize this is a learning experience, but I would like to go into the interview with some prior knowledge.

Okay, I would like to know the requirements of becoming a kindergarten or a preschool teacher. I am a para-professional at a school for behavior and mentally disabled elementary students (similar to a teacher aid). I am considering looking for a new job at either a preschool teacher or a kindergarten teacher. I have an associates of art general education. and a bachelors in University Studies (thats like a general education degree also) I also have a temporary certificate for teaching and I have 5 classes that focus on Early Childhood Education. I have also work and volunteered with early childhood students for more than 9 years. What other requirements should I have to qualify as a early childhood teacher or a kindergarten teacher in different states in america?

I am an early childhood teacher heading to the UK hopefully in June/July 2009. I know that school holiday's coming up so I won't be able to teach, therefore I have to look for a summer job to keep my cash flowing until September when schools start again. Who looks after the children during the holidays? Are nannies in high demand in between July and September? if they pay 80 pounds a week, is that amount before or after tax ?

I know that you can teach preschool with a degree in early childhood education from a community college but can you teach kindergarten with the same degree? Would my job prospects be worse since I got my degree from a community college as opposed to a traditional four year university? I have my own kids and I was interested in becoming a kindergarten teacher because it would allow me to be home with them in the summer. Thanks! Also, how long does it take to become a kindergarten teacher?
