 | I'm writing a fictional story and have to brainstorm ideas of what my English teacher's 2nd job might be. What are your guesses or ideas? She is about 30 years old, drives a hybrid and likes reggae for some background info. What could her 2nd job be?

 | So I've heard two conflicting sides to this. Some people think competition between English teachers for jobs will go down now because some/lots (don't know which) of them moved back home after the disaster. But then I've seen others say that it's just as fierce as ever, and maybe more so now (don't know the reasoning).
So in your opinion, or from what you know, do you think it's harder or easier or around the same?

 | I need to know if it's easy to find a legal job as an English teacher in a city like Makassar (Sulawesi), being a foreigner (from Europe) with certified fluency in English. I'm planning to spend there a year or so and therefore I need actually any information anyone has about job opportunities there for non-Indonesians. Will be very, very grateful for that!

 | I'm planning to travel round Argentina and Chile and find a TEFL job in the process. I'm a native English speaker, have a CELTA certificate plus one year's experience as an English teacher, but the jobs I see on the internet always seem to mention a universtity degree which I don't have. Would I be wasting my time looking for a TEFL job in Argentina or Chile?

 | I was just wondering if I got the qualifications to become an English teacher in China and went there to teach if I would be dissapointed by the standard of living that I was now living by. Is being an English teacher considered a good job in China? Would my income be higher or lower than the average Chinese citizen? Would life be harder for me? How welcoming is the Chinese society to foreigners working in their country? Would I face a lot of prejudice or discrimination? Are English teachers in high demand in China? Would I easily be able to get a job working there?

 | I am a junior at a college in Ohio majoring in English: Language Arts to be a high school English teacher and I was wondering what type of salary I would be getting once I graduate and get a job. Granted, I know I will not be rich, but I want to know ahead of time on whether or not I can live happily and afford things for myself and family (if I get married). Also, I would like to get a Master's degree before I actually teach so I have an "edge" on competition. How much of a salary bump does a Master's degree give you?
I am planning on working somewhere near Dayton, Ohio.

 | I want to become a high school English teacher. I understand the economy and how hard it would be to find a job in the area, but its what I love to do. What I want to know is how many years should I go to be good at at it- not just be certified. What should I be certified in? Also, what would be some good colleges along the east coast?
(Just to let you know, I graduate high school in 2014)
