 | When I complete College, I will specialize in Fitness/Sports Instructing but I am planning to join the French Foreign Legion or RAF Regiment. After 10 years or so returning to Civvie life, could I get my 1st job as a fitness instructor!?! Or would I be slapped in the face because I have not studied it for 10 years.

 | Hello, when I am older im looking to be a raf fitness instructor however have been told that this is a very difficult job to get into. Therefore im looking for backup plans, i don't want to be an instructor in the army or navy because you have to serve first and im not brave enough to do that, also i don't want to be just a normal gym instructor. So what could i be?

 | Here's the example.
Accountant or someone who works with money: Pretty high-paying job, but it's horrible to do - suits, monotony, numbers, low-social interaction, not very outside-the-square creative thinking, no real satisfaction.
Fitness instructor: Fun, energetic job, lots of talking to people, satisfaction from helping people, outside in the sun, no suits, some creativity. Not very high paying really.
So where is the job that's going to let you e********y, but also leave you going home and night thinking that you helped someone, and has lots of social interaction with fun people, and doing some cool creative, exciting things?

 | I was hired to be a fitness instructor for a small franchise. I am required to be certified in their program. I had to sign a non-compete agreement in order to get the job. Shouldn't my new employer pay for my training? Since I signed a non-compete it's not like I can go out and use my training elsewhere.

 | I'm considering an Industry Change.
I've been an Operations Manager (at various companies - all "interior design" based) for about 12 years now, and I am totally burned out by this industry.
I think managing a gym would be fun, exciting and rewarding. Also, would it help if I was a certified fitness instructor to get a managing job? Would it matter?
Please help. Thanks.

 | I am a recently certified personal fitness instructor (through W.I.T.S.) and I can not seem to find a definitive answer as to how in depth my dietary advice can be without getting into possible legal liability. I realize the obvious answer would be "None", but that means I wouldn't be doing my job as best as I could be. I have a thorough and concrete knowledge of nutrition, I merely lack the credentials for now.

 | Planning on taking a 'Intermediate Apprenticeship in Fitness' course at my local college.
What jobs will be relevant for me.. Eg: Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor etc

 | I'm 16 years of age currently in my last year at school and I'm training at the gym everyday to become more fit for the Royal Marines. However I'm having doubts about this due to my family and girlfriend, not being able to see them etc. In addition to my girlfriend she is just not a 'high school girlfriend', i've been with her for four years and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. However that is not important.
I'm looking for a career which involves pay higher than £20,000 a year and is related to physical activities.. Like a fitness instructor, but i heard they're not very well paid?
Could anyone list me some good careers? THANK YOU.

 | I'm 19 turning 20 in December, I want to work as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer. I'm quite fit but I do not belong to a gym since my apartment has it's own. How do I go about getting a job at a gym as either of these positions?
