If I were to become a math teacher, I want to know where the most help is needed. I feel there's a tremendous need for our future citizens to be engineers, scientists and analysts, otherwise we'll just fall by the wayside while other nations advance. You math teachers are doing a terrific job, but I know there's not enough of you, the parents are difficult, the curriculum keeps changing, and kids are spending less and less time studying. Thank you for your input. I'd like to join with you in this uphill struggle.

I am 20 and am currently taking trigonometry at a local community college. How would I become a teacher at a high school in Southern california? Need step by step and how long it'll take. Once I finish my education, is it pretty much guarantee that I'll get a job as a high school math teacher?

My youngest has a math teacher who is telling him that he can make a C in art, English, science, history, or anything else because none of those subjects matter as much as math for the future. I'd like to see my son make higher grades in math, but somehow this method doesn't seem a positive or helpful one. I've talked to this teacher, and he is adamant that math is more important than any other subject, and the principal doesn't have a backbone. Ideas?

I have a math teacher who is failing more that 90?f her class and I don't know how to express an appeal to my principal that the students grades are not fair. I want to let my principal know that my teacher is not doing a proficient enough job teaching the way she is. Can you please give me a guideline on how to write my letter.

I want to become a high school math teacher. I was wondering what all you needed to go through in college to get your degree. And I also want to be able to teach the advanced math classes. So if you could tell me like how many years and everything that would be great! Thanks!

I am interested in becoming a high school math teacher (most likely pre-calc or calc). What college classes are generally required to do this? (Which math classes, and education classes do I need to take?) I'm planning on attending Ohio State University. Thanks!

I'm currently graduating community college with an AA degree in mathematics and headed to Cal State LA and I'm still stuck on deciding on whether I want to be a math teacher or a civil engineer. They both require a decent level of math skills and both are fine paying jobs. Which one is more easier to get into in terms of job openings, job requirements, and etc.

I'm planning on getting a bachelor's degree in math and a teaching certification to be a math teacher. Is it really worth getting a master's degree after graduation to get a NJ Math teaching job or will a bachelor's degree suffice? If I need a master's degree, should I just go to school immediately upon graduation or should I get a teaching job then get my master's degree in math part time after teaching class?
