I am interested in this particular MOS. I am also considering M1 and Artillery, but the idea of scout really appeals to me. I was wondering if anyone knew how dangerous the scouts job is? (I know were at war so any job is "dangerous") but I was wondering specifically about the Cav Scout position. Any info/ideas/opinions are appreciated.

I graduate cosmetology school in August, Ive always been very direct with what I want in life and never wait around. I don't want to sit in this small town (in south Mississippi) after I graduate. There's nothing here for me and it depresses me. I am beyond excited to be this close to my dream of joining my aunt in residing Los Angeles. I'm going with two of my three sisters to have fun and scout jobs/apartments during spring break. But I will most likely be renting the garage apartment of my aunt's close friend that lives 3 houses down from her. I'm really excited and have been planning everything (including the extra semester of school necessary to practice Cosmetology in CA) but my mom is really upset about my plans. She's always known I wanted to do this, but I guess she thought I'd wait to long and just get married and settle here like everyone else. But I just can't. Every guy I go out with is an idiot and there's noopportunitiess here.. nothing to explore, not enough diversity! It's just not my home anymore.. and I guess my actual question is, do any of you have experience with this type of situation? How did you talk your parent/family member into feeling okay about you leaving? I can't stay here any longer.. I'll go insane. Or worse... SETTLE DOWN! hahaha Alright any advice is appreciated! Please be constructive.

I am a permanent resident and I am planning to sponsor my husband. He is still in the Philippines. I am still looking for a job. I have been here in Australia for the past 3 months and continually scouting for jobs. I have the means to pay the visa fee and other fees. What bothers me is that I am still unemployed and I want to sponsor him as soon as possible. Is there an instance in which the visa application fails because the sponsor is unemployed? Thank you so much!

This summer I'm planning on living and working in Ocean City, Maryland and before I can actually sign a lease and apply for jobs my parents want me to do all of the research. I'll be living in a house with around four other girls, all 19-20 years old. We all have high school diplomas and will have only completed some college, so obviously it will either be a beach job or waitressing..something along those lines. Has anyone done something like this before and mind sharing how much you earned the whole summer? Thanks!

I don't want to be a singer or anything like that, I'm more interested in jobs that don't require a special talent. I just want to have a job that allows me to be around music in any capacity.

I am a senior girl scout going for my gold. I have bronze and silver and I want this one to go with a bang. The bronze we did something with the buddy shelter, for our silver we did a fashion show against abuse. Both were lots of fun, but for this one I need plenty of service hours and for most of my service hours I want to help my elementary school. So I need an idea that can be run by a student (I am a very good organizer and leader in this sort of thing so difficult is fine), I don't need a sponser, I don't want to sell anything. I just want a fundraiser that the products needed can be homemade and bring in lots of money so I can split the money with the school. As this is a girl scout thing there is something written about not being able to work for someone, but its okay to donate a sum after the event is over. So please if you have any tips or ideas please let me know! Thank you for your input, you don't know what it means to me, ~ a scout not afraid of hard work
