I have been applying for teachers assistant jobs on edjoin for a couple of years now and haven't received a call back at all. Not one! So recently I began also applying for clerical jobs on edjoin. I meet all the minimum qualifications for the jobs I apply for but I guess that isn't good enough. I do realize there is very stiff competition with people who have probably been doing those types of jobs for years. So I just wanted to ask: Who actually was able to get an interview and possibly even the job with only meeting minimum qualifications? Thanks in advance for all the questions!! :) Have a great day.

Ugg...I just had an interview today, and I'm seriously not holding my breath. I really don't think I got the job, I know to a point that my potential employers will understand that I am nervous. But I need some ways to calm myself down before an interview. Also what are some good questions to ask when they ask if I have any questions? It's a Teacher's Assistant job. (I already know the pay, and benefits). Thanks

I am a freshman at FIU who plans to major in education. Id like to become a teachers assistant at a local school. How should I go about applying? Aside from elementary, do high schools also regularly hire assistants? What are the job duties like? I have no experience aside from my future academic goals, what courses/licenses or other requirements are needed to be considered? More importantly what is the pay like, I am looking for something full time around the $10 hr mark, is this too ambitious? Thanks for your time ; )
