Technical Trainer Job Questions & Answers

I need help! I have just been appointed team lead for our internal office for a group of about 8 people. The folks already know me and use me as a go to person because I have been the technical trainer for the last 12 months. Due to the economy my company has downsized and I have been moved to this team lead position. I am in need of some good ideas on how to get the group to know each other and work together. Thoughts? Ideas?

My brother is a roofing contractor. He has more than 20 years of experience in this field. He used to have his own roofing business which was successful up until now (because of economy crisis). Now he is without job. He has been trying to find a job with a large roofing companies. However, he has an experience in residential roofing rather than commercial. I was wondering if there is possibly a quick course that he could take at home to be able to do something else. It could be roofing related or something else. Please advise. He has lots of pride and all that really brings him down. Thank you!

I am going to major in Information systems management and technology, but recently I've been looking at various job listings and happened to see that most employers want 5+ years of experience----coupled with hundreds of certifications that must be constantly renewed. These demanding requirements have caused me to doubt this major.... Are there any jobs in this field that are easy to break into and do not require so many certifications and experience?

I have a background in IT development and project management and am looking to make a career change. I'm interested in doing something related to Education, but do not necessarily want to teach. What other options are out there? I am willing to get additional training, so please don't assume I need (or want) to use any of my technical skills.

There will be over 50?ravel all over the US, and travel to the UK, India, France is possible. Travel to Australia is very possible. The job is based in Atlanta. thanks!

I've always wanted a job as an animal caretaker/trainer (NOT a vet) such as those seen on shows like "Growing Up" on Animal Planet. However, I've had a hard time finding out any information about this job, such as the official job title, job requirements, average pay, etc. If there is any information people have from experience, or if anyone knows any resources for additional information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)
