First question, what are some job options that i have with only a ba........and second, i have had some issues in the past with drinking and driving....i've learned my lesson and changed my life dramatically since then.......i've seen job options in working with people with substance abuse problems....if i were to presue these jobs, would it be to my advantage to tell a possible employer of my past, or keep it to myself, being that i am not seeking professional help myself.......any answers or suggestions are welcome!!!

I don't want to undersell myself, but I don't want to appear arrogant. I just graduated college and am going crazy not working lol. What would you change? How do you think this compares with most entry level cover letters? thx Attention Hiring Manager: I am interested in pursuing the job opening in your marketing department, because I think my credentials and enthusiasm to diversify my experience will compliment your company’s overall goal to promote brand awareness and improve customer relations. I am passionate about the accolades I pursue and am confident that my experience in marketing, social media, sales, and journalism will make me a good fit for your company. Since 2008, I developed and self-managed an online business that specializes in collectibles and fine jewelry. I also developed and managed a Website for a family owned construction company that required proficient use of applications like Cyberduck and iweb. Recently, I served as a content writer and copy editor for the Rescue Mission’s monthly newsletter. Part of my duties included writing copy for a 20,000+ audience, performing editing duties for the CEO and other executive staff, and designing and managing a smaller biweekly newsletter for the Rescue Mission Youth Program. Working with the organization required proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, the creative ability to cultivate and successfully manage an online blog that raises awareness of child homelessness, and good knowledge of the Associated Press writing style. My principle goal is to invest myself into an enterprise I feel passionate about, and to diversify my skills along the way. I am a firm believer that education does not stop after college and that striving for self-improvement in my career and my personal life will make me a better person and improve my ability to approach goals successfully. I am excited to learn more about what your company has to offer, and if you think I will be a good fit for your team. Best Regards, I posted this in the career section, but no response. Great advice with vital details I carelessly overlooked lol. I do plan to change the "hiring manager part" depending on what company I apply for. This is just a template I devised to start out.

Ok, i have an interview for Either Manager or Assistant manager Today.. i dont have much manager experience. i do have retail and sales experience and i did make my resume look a little more interesting and just a resume that deserve a second look. (dont mean to sound like im bragging) well anyhow, I had a phone interview. he asked me many important questions like if i was comfortable with scheduling hours and payroll, what customer service meant to me, and so on.... so Today im going for my second interview face to face.... i find it weird because first of all the interview will not be in the same mall that the store is at, it will be in another mall that doesnt even have one of their stores, why would they do that? Also the person who i talked to said something about the face to face interview was going to be different .... im not sure what he meant by that... i believe it has something to do with not doing it in the work place or the store that i would be hired for.....why would they do that?also what can i do to make me stick out in their mind as the best candidate for the job. If he asks me if i have any questions for him what should i ask? anything that will impress them? also he told me to bring a resume and i decided to include on my resume the past leadership experiences ive had examples are.... i was captain of my soccer team, i was also captain of my hs football team, a youth group leader and i was a keyholder/supervisor in one of my past jobs now i know these are good leadership examples since i was leading a team but can you please give me some more ideas or anything that will help me out.... is it a good way to go? i dont have any degrees i only have a life insurance license and my experience in the retail customer service and sales industry..... any tips or stories that will help anything at all.... please let me know. thanks in advance.
