I just wanted to know whats the best career option to get into because I keep hearing that social workers do not make much money, so I was doing some research about psychology. The only thing is that both fields are so broad, and now I'm so confused! Ugh!! Just wanted some feedback with an opinion. Thanks!

People keep telling me to find a job that works with my major. I can't figure out what a good job is that is in the social work field. I want to become a medical social worker or work with children or women's shelters. These type of jobs don't hire you unless you have a degree already though. Any ideas?

I live in Illinois and am going to be transferring from my community college to a university to get my masters in child and family social work. I'm just wondering what an estimated salary is for this particular kind of social worker who has their masters. Also, which university is Illinois has the best reputation for their social work program (which university employers think as being the the best one)? Thanks!

I'm a junior in high school and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I'm thinking something along the lines of being a social worker, but it's hard to say because I really don't know what different careers entail. I just know that I want to DO something, HELP someone, not just sit at a computer at some corporation. I also have an enormous passion for children, and helping them. What are some careers I should check out, or classes I should take? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Their plan to raise the retirement age. How is a larger worker pool with lower wages due to the increases in job competition going to help the youth. Repealing Obamacare. Obama allowing the youth to stay on their parents health insurance until 26 is like a tax brake in the form of a social program. Going against the youth in Egypt and siding with the fading generation sitting president.

So tell the youth how a larger worker pool with the wage competition to match is going to make it easier to get a job with a living wage. I would rather have good wages then Social Security. Republicans are the fading generations, why would they care about wages later?

I'm 15 and I think I want to begin volunteering. I'm interested in what the perks of being an active volunteer are. Here are my questions: What are the benefits of volunteering? Does it look good on college applications and/or job resumes? Does it look better to have volunteered in several small one-time projects, or to have stuck with a program for multiple years? Thanks in advance.
