A woman at 30 odds is dating a boy whom I know, she is a youth worker, and works with kids frequent, yet is dating one, is this illegal? I like in the UK And what I mean is, I know its legal for a 30 yr old to date a 16, but I heard somewhere before that 'youth' workers cannot, and this is against the job and the contract, like teachers for example. Is this true?

I went to college for Child and Youth worker. There are a lot of jobs that I've got the education for, but everywhere requires a few years experience. I've got no experience, because volunteering doesn't give me the experience they are looking for. They ask for paid experience. How do I get paid experience if nowhere is hiring a fresh new graduate?

I am interested in becoming a youth support worker. I would like to work with teenagers in residential/ their homes. Unfortunately, I do not have any qualifications in this field. So I just started Grade 11 and i am sort of having a rough time figuring out what i should become. I've wanted to be a Child & Youth Worker but honestly they don't make a lot in a year and i need something that will allow me to provide for a family. I am not good in science at all and i find it sort of boring, i would like a somewhat high paying job not involving science at all. thanks for the help !

I have been discriminated against and asked to leave my current placement - I am a student youth worker and very interested in working with young parents/parents to be or disabled young people. I need to find somewhere urgently. I am in Leeds in Yorkshire. Ideally school hours, not evenings as I have kids myself. I was discriminated due to my own disability and the fact that I had a poorly kid!

I made a silly mistake a number of years ago i think about 8 years ago now and got a caution for drunk and disorderly, would i have a problem joining the police for or perhaps looking at working as a youth worker for example? It doesnt seem fair that one mistake should rule me out of som many jobs where they do police checks?

I am a CAD technician and have worked for my company for 3 years. I have decided to change careers as I have been doing this job for 20 odd years and have had enough. I have accepted a job as a senior Youth Worker (I have always dreamed of doing this), but as I am here on a work permit I haven't handed my notice in yet because I haven't got my new permit yet. I had my appraisal today and felt really bad as I got a raise and a bonus (which is paid out at the end of November), but I cannot say anything yet as I don't know if I will get a new permit. If the permit does come through then I will stay here until the end of november. I really need the bonus but am not sure if they have to give it to me after I have resigned. It is down in writing as we are given a report following out appraisals. So can they take the bonus back or do they have to give it to me?
