I'd like to know where to study automotive engineering, preferably in the UK, because somewhere else, i might drop my English, which is really useful to find a job afterwards. Thank you very much Well, the USA was another option i thought about, but as I'm not a USA resident the tuition rates are really high, almost twice as in Europe. Anyways, thank you very much, I'll think about it.

I am currently employed as a structural automotive engineer at one of the big 3 carmakers. I've specialized in exterior sheet metal deformation along with evaluating the structural integrity of the underlying metal skeleton. I have also been heavily involved with exterior plastic components such as fascia, bumpers and body side moldings. Outside of crash testing, what other types of engineering jobs exist in the car insurance industry? Could it be used to determine whether a damaged vehicle is salvageable?

So I'm going to university next year to do either Mechanical/Automotive engineering degree. In the future I wan't to work for companies which make automobiles from the likes of road cars to motorbikes to F1 to sport. Anything in that direction. I'd like to know what the average salary is like at starting, AND after a handful amount of years ( say 10 or 20) in having this type of engineering job, for say companies like Rolls Royce, jaguar, or even Williams F1 team. Thanks

I am a bachelors degree student in mechanical engineering, planing to pursue my masters in automotive engineering. I am confused between the universities to choose from. It is heard that the British universities are better in this field than the American. Also I did not find many American universities providing masters in this field. Could someone suggest me the best universities for automotive engineering? What about the German universities? Is the knowledge of German language a must for studies there? Are the German degrees considered at par with the American and British?
