What are some jobs associated with independent concert venues and within entertainment companies that put on events like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza? Please share anything you know. Duties of different positions, schooling or degrees required, anything like that. I'm a business student and I'd like to research more into the entertainment industry.

(This article contains -spoilers- to the Shawshank Redemption for metaphorical purposes.) In the Shawshank Redemption, Andy Dufresne crawls through a mile of sewage to escape to his freedom. When I look for work, I have this idea of a job that would make me feel like Andy, when he finally emerges from the sewer. However in reality, all of the jobs that I have been applying for feel like the endless pieces of fecal matter that poor Mr Dufresne must have encountered during his trial. I am currently applying to do a PGCE, but I have no desire to become a teacher. Its the job that i would choose if i were a robot and did not care what job i'd do; its just another t**d in Andy's sewer. The only reason that I'm doing it is because the UK is in a triple dip recession and I cannot afford to do nothing at the moment. When I went to University they told me that if you have a physics degree you will easily get a job. Where are these jobs that they speak of? How do I find roles that will definitely hire physics graduates? I'm not expecting the job of my dreams, but how do I find a Job that will make me feel like Andy?

I did my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and now started M.Sc in a Top German university. But honestly I was never that much interested in studies, I only studied because my parents forced me to and also so that it can help me in finding jobs and jobs are a real scarcity in countries like my own(I'm from Bangladesh). After years of studying without much of personal interest, I now feel mentally tired and sick. I already do a Research Assistant job at a good company besides my studies which I managed to get because of my B.Sc degree. But I don't love it. These days my dislike of life makes me so sad that I'd rather sleep forever under the soil if I didn't love my parents so much. I feel so much trapped, I feel like I'm tortured every moment. I'd really like to do something which I love to do and which will also give me enough money to live a decent life. Could you guys suggest me what I can do? I'm not sure what I'm really best at, if only someone could identify that for me I'd be so grateful. Help me! Say me how I should approach this personal crisis? * I always liked teaching maths and English kids of age ranging age (12-18). 3-4 years ago I used to work individual tutors as a part time. * I think I could love Sports Journalism. I really love Soccer, I am understand the tactics and mechanism of Soccer and Soccer industry pretty well. I like writing article on sports and history of sports. I carefully observe the matches and listen to commentary and even sometimes take part in phone ins to discuss football. I'd have liked to try Journalism a profession but I think nowadays it takes a Journalism degree to get such jobs. @MavistheMaven Here I have added some more details to my question. I don't think I'd like Engineering as a profession. I'm never passionate about Engineering and on top of that when you have so much stress on something you are not passionate about I hardly think you can enjoy that.

I would like to start a career at Google, and I seriously composed a 15 page report on how to do it. The only thing I'm not sure on is: can I get in working on computers with an Electrical Engineering degree with a computer hardware focus, or do I need a Computer Engineering degree? I'm really neither interested in working on power systems, nor do I want to sit in front of a computer 8 hours either. I'm trying to find a harmonious balance between computer software/hardware. So, Electrical/Computer Engineering?

I was chosen to pick a topic for debate for an English class, and I decided on whether or not switching to electricity based automobiles would be a smart thing to do if we had the option. I have to include such factors as economy, jobs that could be lost with the loss of oil companies, impact on the environment, etc. Any online sources would be greatly appreciated. Also definitely gonna give a best answer to someone who answers, so please help!

What jobs can get me started on being an engineer? I'm also willing to take short college courses, if any. For example, if you wanted to be a doctor when you grew up and you were 16, you could train to be a certified nursing assistant and get a job as a CNA. Are there any types of jobs like that for a 16 year old future engineer?

I'm not really looking for one answer, but maybe suggestions. Pretty much I love music and movies, and I want to get involved with them. I don't want answers like, "be in a band!" or "be an actor!" because I'm not outgoing or talented enough for that. What jobs are behind the scenes? Maybe a little technical? Thank you =)
