College President Assistant Job Questions & Answers

And why? It seems being an adminstrative assistant is the perfect job right out of college: if pays reasonably well for an entry-level position, is an excellent way to "get your foot in the door" in a company or industry you want to work in, and requires little experience. Why, then, are most admin assistants female? It seems like a good job whether your a man or woman!

I am currently in college and don't know what I want to do in life. My current major is nursing but I am a nursing assistant and I know I do not want to become a nurse, despite the good job prospects. It is just not my thing. However, what are the prospects for someone with the above degrees? And what kind of jobs could I work with degrees in those fields? Ok, but what about international studies?

I would really like to be an office assistant since I love doing office work, running errands, etc. I wanted to know what you would have to study in college to become one. I'm probably going to major in Business and minor in English Lit. I found a lot of answers regarding being assistants for law firms and such. Is there a reason why that is so popular? What type of companies would need office assistants? I would like to work for a slightly bigger one, not the ones with 4 people and they all wear t-shirts to work.

I keep hearing that there aren't enough black head coaches in football, but I don't see very many black assistants either so it isn't like there are many to promote.

Secretarial jobs are so abundant and I know a lot about it, but the job made me suicidal because I hate it so much. Should I just hold my chin up and do it anyway? I need a job. Good point Annie!

I'm a freshman right now but I just want to know what kind of thing would look good on college applications and what could separate me from the rest. I just want to know now so that when I'm a junior or a senior I won't be rushing or regretting that I didn't do a certain thing. My DREAM is to go to Duke University (North Carolina) and I'm currently living in South Carolina. I have a 4.535 GPA right now and I have all A's and I've pretty much maintained them all year. Although, I take two honors courses and two CP courses, all my teacher have recommended me for honors courses for next year and I even got recommended for an AP course! I also played basketball this year and I'm in the magnet program which is pretty much taking an extra elective. I'm taking law Ed. Also I plan to take French my sophomore, junior and senior year. I just want to know that since I'm out of state, what could make my application stand out from the others? I'm really serious about this and I really want to get into Duke and be a physicians assistant! Thanks! (:

I have a background in IT development and project management and am looking to make a career change. I'm interested in doing something related to Education, but do not necessarily want to teach. What other options are out there? I am willing to get additional training, so please don't assume I need (or want) to use any of my technical skills.

I also am pretty experienced with house cleaning. Does anyone have any experience with small businesses in these fields? I am an Entrepreneurship major and I need money, so I want to start something.

I only have 2 years of retail experience. I worked at forever21, Ralph Lauren, and GAP. I don't have any experience with banks so I'm a little worried and really nervous. It's also a 25 minute drive from my apartment do you think it would be a hassle to drive that far if I do get hired?

So I am wondering what these graduates do? I mean what does earning a prestigious undergraduate degree get you? What types of jobs are available for them? What unique windows of opportunity that graduates from these schools get? Also, why is it that most presidents in America's past graduate from one of these schools either undergraduate or graduate school? I am really curious to find out to see if doing undergraduate at these schools is really worth it.

I'm writing 2 essays for a Naval scholarship, and I am looking for some feedback. This is the second one. Any editing tips and suggestions, whether grammatical or idea-wise, would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!! How might your background and experiences enhance the U.S. Naval Service? I come from a family background that has instilled in me a diverse range of values and morals. As the oldest of four boys, raised in a blue-collar, household, my father instilled in me the values of hard work, responsibility, a strong moral character, and self-reliance through example. My mother instilled in me an interest in and appreciation for languages and world cultures, and continues to sharpen my critical reflection skills through discussion of politics, particularly as they relate to social justice. (Say why this would enhance the Navy) When I turned 16, I left my home in Essex for a tiny, poverty-stricken village in the Guatemalan Highlands to stay with a family friend. I financed my trip with money I saved for two years, dishwashing and bussing tables at a restaurant in town. I went completely alone, and despite my parent’s last-minute doubts, I was determined to go. For a month straight, I remained with strangers, had to speak Spanish 100?f the time, all while being 2000 miles away from home. This shows that not only do I have ability to face uncertainty without being overcome by fear, but also I am also self-reliant and ambitious. (Say why this would enhance the Navy) I have devoted much time to extracurriculars that have been very important to me, most significant of which have been my volunteer efforts. My dedication to serving people regardless of race, orientation, and socio-economic background has played a major part of my high school career. For me, serving others is not a self-serving endeavor but a genuine expression of my character. (Say why this would enhance the Navy) While I may not be class president, I have directed and instructed groups of people in many situations. At my part-time job, I have trained several employees and assured that they performed their job properly. Also, as Elected Treasurer of the Robotics team, I have organized many fundraisers that have required me to direct others to assure the success of the operation. I have acted as a Teacher’s Assistant to the choral director, leading the school chorus in extensive vocal warm-ups in the case of her tardiness or absence. Lastly, my years of tutoring have given me the teaching skills needed to lead those in my command. Lastly, I am a motivated self-starter. Last year, I was dissatisfied to learn that I would not be able to take an AP Biology class because it did not fit in my schedule. Instead of accepting defeat, I decided to enroll in a Biology course at a local university. Because of this, I will be qualified to take the Advanced Placement Biology class at the end of this year. My eagerness to begin my career has also driven me to apply for an internship at a hospital, which I will be starting this spring. (SOMETHING HERE NEEDS TO BE CUT, IT’S A BIT TOO LONG) The length requirement is 2500 characters long. It only goes over by about 200 characters.
