 | I'm 15 and I think I want to begin volunteering. I'm interested in what the perks of being an active volunteer are.
Here are my questions: What are the benefits of volunteering? Does it look good on college applications and/or job resumes? Does it look better to have volunteered in several small one-time projects, or to have stuck with a program for multiple years?
Thanks in advance.

 | The question kind of says it all:
What was Harry Truman interested in when growing up? What are some important things he did as president?
I need them for a biography of him, but those two things I can't seem to find.
Date of birth
place of birth
2 paragraphs on his military term (if he had one)
Another two paragraphs on his parents
a paragraph if he had brothers and sisters.
his education.
a paragraph on his wafe
another one on his children
his death, and the place where he died.
Not to mention two paragraphs for each of my questions.
It's due in 6 days, but I like to get a head start on my homework.
Do you still think I'm trying to do the entire thing through Yahoo A! cartwrightfour4?
ooohhhhh. By the way, all that stuff I just listed, I have already. It was just to show cartwrightfour4 that I wasn'ttrying to get everything off of Y A!

 | I have recently completed my enlistment contract with the U.S. Army in which I have served honorably for 6 years. I have always been inclined to work in places that are deemed selfless and morally reputable. It has been difficult to navigate through this very difficult recession and to adequately provide comfortably for my family due to my preference in working for a non-profit that pays low. This finally led me to think of whether I should leverage my connections into a different career path that has the potential to pay really high. My sister and brother-in-law are currently vice-presidents of Merrill Lynch in the state that we reside in. She has told me before if I ever wanted to work there, I would be hired right away and be under her wing. She and her husband makes well over $500,000 a year combined and my wife and I make less than 10?f their gross income. I have always felt that big banks like Merrill Lynch are responsible for our recession and therefore not an institution that is for the common person.
What would you do if you were in my shoes? Thanks for your input.

 | Is anyone else like me? My poor wife. All she wants is a steady husband. And for 20 years at least I find a job, the I'm always looking at other jobs thinking that the grass is greener somewhere else. This kills me. What happens is, I get bored with the job, then my mind is distracted thinking of a way to get out, then consequently my performance starts to falter and I have actually been fired from a couple of jobs.
This is why I strive for self-employement because at least I know I can do something I enjoy and it creates challenge.

 | I am not in any way hoping for this. In fact I pray that it doesn't happen for a long time. But I am a realist. We are not going to be able to hang on to the bulls horns forever. Sooner or later we are going to get bucked.
So again how long do you predict we have? Not what you hope or what you want, what is your honest prediction?
I have to put this one up to a vote.
