What does it mean when the Owner/President of a company forwards your email and resume to the Vice President of Operations and states that he will be in contact? Just sent my resume and The owner and I laughed about how widely known he is. I found the job from a buddy of his of 20 some years who told me to apply. I really want this job bad. Very Reputable Company and they take care of their employees. Do I really have the job?

I'm the VP for the National Honor Society at school and I need an item/object that symbolizes the role of a Vice President. Some people said a 2nd place trophy or a mini gavel.? Any other ideas? Thanks!

The vice-president of operations in our company emailed me very nicely and copied my boss on the email that I've been doing a great job staying on top of things and that its been very helpful for her. I replied to her back, and copied my boss, first thanking about her email and saying any success of mine is credited to my boss for he's given me the opportunity to grow with this company. How will my boss feel when he reads both our emails?

Jack Lew was a union buster during his time at NYU, why is he COS? Straight from Wikipedia. After leaving public office in the Clinton administration, Lew served as the Executive Vice President for Operations at New York University and was a Clinical Professor of Public Administration at NYU's Wagner School of Public Service. While at NYU, Lew aided the university in ending graduate students' collective bargaining rights. The Obama administration has maintained that Lew supports workers' union rights. In June 2006, Lew was named chief operating officer of Citigroup's Alternative Investments unit, a proprietary trading group. The unit he oversaw invested in a hedge fund "that bet on the housing market to collapse."

I took this job about 6 months ago with the promise that I was part of this great reorganization of this company. It sounded like my dream position & was what I wanted & close to my family. About 1 month in the person who hired me was no longer my boss & someone new came on. 2 months later there is a new vice president of the entire operation. I was told I was one of the last steps of the restructure, but maybe not. Then this new VP starts changing everything. My position that was just created is practically meaningless now. He interrupted me during a presentation I was giving because he didn't like my "tone." My boss defended me thankfully. A few months go by & he decides that anyone in my position can no longer attend meetings. My supervisor must go on her own & I must stay at my desk in case anyone needs us. Ok so now I don't know why they provided us with cell phones & laptops. He only made this announcement AFTER kicking me & a few others out of a meeting. Finally he announces there will be a new structure to the company. After they just restructured! So now here I am unhappy in my job due to a number of things: 1 VP makes me feel physically uncomfortable. 2 I don't feel like I have job security anymore. 3 I no longer am doing my job. I am now just an assistant to my supervisor. I update spreadsheets & schedule meetings for her. 4 I am beyond disappointed because I thought I came in here to bring fresh ideas but I have been thoroughly shut out before my plans even take effect (first 1 doesn't even happen until July). 5 On top of all this the people left after the 1st restructure absolutely hate me & my team. They feel threatened & constantly try to undermine us by creating rumors & telling it to their boss who then tells the VP. I've been here for 6 months & really hate it but I don't want to be a job hopper. I was at my old job for about 2 years but switched positions & came here. I turned down other job offers! Should I start applying after 6 months here?

How can an Obama presidency help the American economy if he doesn't believe in helping and working with corporations and businesses to keep jobs for Americans and the value of the American dollar from hitting rockbottom. Obama plans to heavily increase taxes on corporations and businesses, what kind of impact will this have on business operations, jobs, consumer prices, consumer spending and the economy itself if it relies on all of these factors. Remember business activity is what keeps the money flowing and whether you agree with them or not, they must survive and so how will Obama help the economy and keep Americans from pinching pennies?

Cheap Far-East particularly Chinese products impact on other countries industries. So there is a considerable lost market share for internal industries in affected countries through the imported products. The manufacturers' strategies and planes have changed to compete with such product and compensate their lost market share.

I need to know how titles such as 'president', 'chairman', 'vice-president', etc. are used and the roles that they would typically have in the US. Many thanks to anyone who can point me in the direction of an authoritative glossary online (not Wikipedia).

The Afghans seem to trust him more than any other US official (military or non-military). And he was about to spearhead HIS operational plan for Kandahar. And this is the second wartime general he has fired since taking office. Wasn't the last time a wartime general was sacked (before Obama) was General MacArthur during the Korean War in the early 50s.

Except for very specialized professions it seems employers don't care as much as they should. Don't they want the best educated employee and worry about training them specifically for the job as they go?
