If one is able to get an air traffic controller job with a 2yr degree then why would someone go for the 4yr degree? I would think a person with a 4yr degree have much more job offers but is that truly what happens? What would be the benefits of getting a 4yr degree vs a 2yr degree in ATC? This question is for U.S. Air Traffic Control.

So I'm going into the Navy as an OS, and I hear that Air Traffic Controller is a great job that correlates with OS. So with 5 years as an OS in the Navy, I may definitely consider going Air Traffic Controller as a civilian. I hear that they make on average around $110,000 per year, however they also have a very stressful work environment, which honestly I'm ok with. But I'll only go for that as a career if I have a knack for it and I enjoy that line of work. So I'm wondering what other benefits Air Traffic Controllers have, and if it's worth the stress to get a solid 100k a year? Also, what are good skills to have for this job?

I have all the skills, but even after cutting my hair, etc. I still look 25. I have tried everything to look older but to no avail. I think when they see me in the interview, they immediately assess I am too young. I am 34. I am applying for bookkeeper or controller jobs, but my husband says I look too young for those positions. I have 13+ years exp and an accounting degree. What else can I do?

I've been a CFII for 10 years, but I want to transition to becoming an air traffic controller. How and where do I begin? I've gotten conflicting information, and I'd just like to know where to find the answers I need, or see if anyone here knows. I never finished my college degree, and at 30 years old, I haven't the time or resources for that. Is it an absolute, set-in-stone requirement? Would my flight time and experience transfer to college credits?
