I've recently found out I'm being promoted at work from a cash management clerk position (32k/year) to a finance analyst. I have a bachelors in business, emphasis in finance. Been out of school 1 year. I'm a terrible negotiator, where do I start, 40k to much? Mind i'm in UT not NYC or something.

I recently graduated with a degree in Economics, but unfortunately I am lacking in actual job experience in my field. What is the best way to find jobs in my case? I am finding it difficult to find jobs that don't require at least a couple years of experience in addition to the education I have. I am open minded, and will take any thing in finance, or accounting that I think I qualify for. I also have taken classes in math and stat and would be interested in any kind of analyst job in these areas if I qualify for them. I realize there are internships, but I think they are usually targeting college students. If it makes a difference I'm looking for something in the Baltimore/DC area, Frederick, Montgomary or other nearby county in MD.

I'm a recent college graduate with a solid professional/academic resume, but I am lacking in the relative work history department. I've been pursuing entry-level analyst jobs in corporate finance and financial services firms but haven't had any success landing one. Its now time to get job to fill in my resume/have income until I can secure a job in the investment industry. Any suggestions that would be a "plus" in the eyes of a recruiter? Thanks in advance! (My ideas so far... bank teller, internships, temp agency...)

I have 1 more year of undergrad with a 3.7 gpa and have been told that I have a good shot at an analyst job. I hear they start at $100K right after undergrad school (after bonus), but the life style is horrible. But i do like money, and want to be rich. They say that if you stick with it for 10 years you are easily a millionaire.

I've been working at this payroll company for almost half a year and I still have half a year left until I get my degree in Finance. I'll be applying for a financial analyst job next year after graduating. I've gotten other job offers, but they were all located too far. I'm helping the CEO with many tasks. I work with some accounting, taxes, and payroll. Do you think this job will look good on my resume when I apply for the financial analyst position? Or will it do me no good? Thanks! I really need some advice!
