 | I went to college to become a financial adviser in financing/accounting but, every job opening I look at online says you must have experience like 3-4 years sometimes 5-10 but, how am I suppose to earn experience in the job field if there is no job that I can find that accepts someone without experience? Should I tell them ill work for less money until I get more experience? Will they hire me that way? Thanks.
You wouldn't hire someone who hasn't had any experience? Just cause I don't have experience doesn't mean i wouldn't be good at managing your money I mean after all that is what i went to college for so i'm sure i would know how to manage it.

I have checked out some financial advisor/planner jobs and they all require CeFA qualifications etc. But do you need to go to university and backup those qualifications?

Some people say get a job in sales. What are some jobs what will look good on my resume and prepare me for becoming a financial advisor. Also what about internships to prepare myself?

 | I have a second interview for a financial adviser job later this week and they said my biggest obstacle in the job would be the fact that I appear to be young, which I am, 24 yrs old with a young face and no chance of growing any real facial hair. They told me to ponder that and bring with me ideas on how I can overcome that. What I would like to know is if any of you have any ideas to share, on physical appearance and how I can assure clients that I will be able to manage their money very well and they shouldn't worry.

 | I am a recent grad looking for job. I searched online and state farm has a lot of jobs offering, with State Farm Agent being as one of them. I am wondering if there is any base salary with that position. If so, is it hard to get hire? Or it requires to take a personality test like those other Financial Advisor job?
(Glassdoor has many different inputs on the salary of that position, so I don't know if it is reliable. If you work in State Farm, please input)
Thanks!

 | Are there industries, careers, jobs that a financial advisor's skill sets transition to relatively well? I have tired of living off commission sales and want a job with a somewhat stable $50k plus salary.

 | A financial services company has asked me to come in for a 2nd interview for a financial advisor position, a job that is completely paid on commission. Would this be the right time to begin asking some more in depth questions about specific job duties/ responsibilities, compensation, 401K etc or should I wait to get hired first? What are some important questions to ask at this stage?

 | People just get financial answers at yahoo finance, so is the job of financial advisor still going to be a good one or should i look for something slightly different? I am starting with a degree in finance to become a personal financial advisor.

 | I'm considering studying for a career as a financial advisor, but at this point in life (age 26), and the fact that I am busy with a job in sales, I don't think I'll have the time to attend a university. Is it possible to mainly study for this by getting a finance degree through an online university, and if so, which would be recommended?

 | What I mean is that, in any financial companies like AXA financial or Metlife, if they offer you the job as a financial advisor, is it possible to negotiate with them about my starting date? For example, if they offer me a job right now, will they accept if I could start on a specific date like weeks or a month from now for some important reasons I will tell them?

 | I'm currently an undergraduate and I just recently took up a job as an Independant Financial Advisor. The pay is based on the clients and I wonder since a degree is not necessarily a prerequisite for IFA position, am i making a correct decision? I'm good with people and numbers as well but I wonder if this is a good move. I don't like desk jobs and office jobs but I like the stable pay. This job has unstable pay

 | I would like to become fully indepedent financial advisor because of good career prospect. I am wondering where I can fine exam information ? How long does it to finish all the exams?
I hope some experienced IFA can tell me their opinion towards their job.
Many thanks!

 | I've seen a financial advisor position with no experience required. They will train. $X000 signing bonuses. (I hope that means they are going to pay me that amount and not the other way).
Is it too good to be true? I've seen them in job fairs all the time. How difficult is it?
