Say, it was one of those long 3 months ones. Would it be possible for a member of the ship's crew to have a relationship with a passenger? Would they get deported or just have to leave their loved one behind? I'm not talking Titanic when I say that, but would the crew member have the time or access, or legality in a contract for the job to do it? And what position would be most suitable (officer, or perhaps dining room attendant...) for this to occur?

Today was my first day. I'm already a receptionist and never had experience in a restaurant. Today I was in charge of coffee and the dining room. Being on my feet from 8:30 to 1 wasn't too bad and I was behind my trainer for most of it but tomorrow I have to do the dining room on my own and I don't feel ready. When will working at a restaurant get easier?

I was hired as a cashier and while I was training they made me help out cleaning the dishes. I had worked a regular shift and I was told to clean the restroom. Is this normal? I was told by the manager I would be responsible for the dining room. CLean tables but yeah.

I was wondering if they make more money than people who work during the day... I want another part time job, and was thinking about working 20 hrs a week at a fast food place.. I know they will close the dining room, so I wouldn't have to deal with many people face to face.

I just got a hostess job at a restaurant because I have less than 2 years experience as a server. I want to seem competent so that they will promote me to server status waiting tables, but I have never been a hostess before. What are some things I can do as hostess so that I can do an exceptional job. I really want to be able to go above and beyond. Thank you.

I have 3 years of serving experience in decent restaurants but nothing that is to be considered 'fine dining'. However I know that there are some 5 star restaurants where servers are making $50k or more and I wanted to know what training or places I can go to become a server at these restaurants.

What do you do all day, how are your friends, what time do you show up, do you take turns, what days do you work, stuff like that. It doesn't have to be McDonalds specifically.

McDonald, taco bell, carls jr. I am 99?ositive breathing is the only qualification. Where i live people that work at fast food restaurants are blithering idiots. They could not get a order right if they had to. So is that the only qualification or is there actually more?

I know the laws, believe me, i looked them up, It says when you are 14, you are able to work, so don't tell me stuff like 'you are to young' or 'stick to baby sitting kid'. I already applied to McDonald's, but I am not sure they will hire me, so I want more possibilities. I know that Burger King wont allow me till I am 16, but anything else? My family is poor, and I want to help.

There are many different crew positions..... (front counter, drive-through, cook, dining-room attendant, etc.....) let's say you've been a cook for 5 years........ Can you get promoted to supervisor? or are they going to dismiss you for "not having experience in the other areas of the restaurant".... does that mean: to get promoted. you have to keep switching jobs constantly? and who the hell gets moved around to EVERY work station? That's not a common occurrence.
