 | At work I am harrassed daily. It is the same group of people. I started about two months ago and since day one it has been happening. I am the youngest person in my area. I stay to myself and get my job done. I use to eat lunch in the cafeteria but it has gotten so bad that I now skip lunch or just walk around the plant. I feel like I am in high school again. I do not want to tell my supervisor BC it will just start drama. I get called names or when I walk past they say very rude things. I am good at ignoring people but it is getting old fast. I've asked a few people what I should do and they told me to go off or punch them on the face which is unethical and I'd loose my job. I like what I do and make decent money. How do I go about stopping the harrassmemt and keeping my job? Thank you:)

 | Ok, so I graduated in 2001 from Johnson & Wales University in Food Service Management. I've been in foodservice in one reguard or another, whether it be waitressing, bartending and now management at a hospital cafeteria.
I have only been a Supervisor now for 4 months and absolutely HATE IT! I think about not going in, like every day... But my family and fiance are so proud of me for getting the job and getting the great benefits. Now, I can't even switch my job until 6 months is up, and even then I'm not guaranteed that there will be a good position that pays similarly to what I currently make.
I've thought about going back to school, either Medical Assisting or Nursing working in Dermatology or for a Plastic Surgeon. But I'm so confused... Ultimately I would love to start my own small business. Does anyone have any advice or information on what the next best small biz to open, would be???
I feel like I lack focus and can't figure out what career to concentrate on... HELP!

This is the resume I gave, is there anything wrong in it? Btw should I remove "german", I don't think they care about me speaking the third language, no one speaks German in canada...

 | I would like to give you the full scale of things, the more you know the more you can help.
I was working at a brand new resort in New Jersey , about 3 months into the job I got into a real ugly dispute with a co-worker ... I heard him call me a degrading name. I took it to my supervisor and we all had an employee intervention, of course he denied saying he said anything of the sort. My supervisor asked us if we wanted to report the incident to employee relations ... considering this was the second time I've had a problem with this co-worker saying something degrading and it was not the first time he was accused of saying something degrading to a co-worker I decided to take it to human relations. At first my supervisor got upset about my decision but calmed down quickly, allowing us to write out our statements. A couple of weeks later I was taken to employee relations to talk about the incident and I felt like crap after wards. The person made me feel like the whole incident was my fault. She asked me irrelevant and pointless questions like "Have I ever been in a high school cafeteria?" She claimed the whole incident was a he said she said type of situation and there was nothing she could do about it. She even asked me when I heard him say something inappropriate why did I walk away instead of questioning him about what he said ? Basically I felt like she was greatly using the " blame the victim" technique.
After the incident and after feeling disrespected I decided to look for another job. My fiance lives in another city so I decided to start looking for a job in his city as we decided now was the perfect time to move in together. I began moving my things right away as I began commuting back and forth form our house to work. I did a few job interviews and I began the process of returning to school. After a few weeks I got called and was offered a new job. Considering I was still in the process of moving my start date was not until a week away, giving me enough time to get myself together & ready for work. As soon as I got the job offered I called my job to resign. I told them I was starting school and because of me going to school in a different city I needed to resign. I thought it would be best not to mention my new job. My supervisor was very understanding , he understood because my school was in a different city there was no point in continuing to work with the company. I returned to the company to give my resignation letter and return all company items. A few days before I was scheduled to start my new job I got a call from them informing me that they were unable to fill the position at the time but if it became available again they would give me call!
Last mouth after months of looking for work I decided to go on unemployment just to help with the bills until I found a job or finished school, which ever came first. However I ended up not going to school after I found out I did not get the job, I thought I should focus fully on getting another job before starting school. Now I know resigning from a job automatically disqualifies you for unemployment, but they do make exceptions for just cause cases. My interview is one week away ... my question is do you think I have a chance considering the I resigned only after I found another job & was going to school ? Also should I mention to the claims representative about the incident with my co-worker ? It was not the direct reason I resigned but it is the reason why I began looking for another job.
Any and all help on how to handle my interview and what to expect would be greatly appreciated!

 | People at work on the job and when people are on break in the cafeteria, they are always swearing and it drives me nuts and they won't get fired for that! Why? and should people be fired for swearing? If it was school, you would get suspended for using foul language!! I hate when people cuss! It offends me to hear people swear!

 | Do I have to buy the uniform?
My family wanted pizza so we went to Little Caesars and I wanted a job at the time too. I applied for over 40 places. The manager said that one of the worker just quited that day and they are looking so I asked for an application. The following day I went back to turn in the application and my resume. He said that he was going to talk to the supervisor and see what will happen. He told me to call him back on Tuesday.
When I returned the application I introduced my self
" My name is ---------, I am a current student at Yosemite High School. I have an average g.p.a of 4.0 this yea. I was Student Store Adviser for the school and Vice president for the school cite council. I love to try new things and I am always open for a challenge. I worked in the School Cafeteria through out my high school years. I was the cashier and I helped set up and sometimes prepare the food. "

 | I work in a school cafeteria and last Friday I was cleaning around the freezers and I pulled out one of the commercial freezers to sweep and mop under it real good. Well, to make a long story short, I forgot to plug it back in, until today when I went to check how many frozen beef patties we had because today we are serving hamburgers for the school lunch. It didn't smell bad or anything but the meat was warm to touch. I went ahead and plugged the freezer back in because I don't want my supervisor to know I unplugged it, because I could get in trouble and I don't want to lose my job. I mean, today I am going to have to cook that meat and I think it is safe because it was in a sealed freezer over the weekend, so germs could not get in.
I have to serve it because we have already printed out todays menu and it says hamburgers on it.
Some of the kids are sick now and if I tell someone the reason they are sick, I could get fired.

 | Soooo out of curiosity, what's the weirdest/most awkward/most embarrassing crush you remember having? Can be anyone!
As for mine, so far they were teachers at my high schools (while I was still a student) also suspecting a slight one on a higher-up/supervisor at my job skills training...preeetty awkward.

 | I have been out of college for 4 years. My problem is that I applied to be a food supervisor at my alma mater twice and was denied twice. The first time was because I didn't have enough management experience and they didn't feel I was outgoing enough. So I worked as a supervisor in the cafeteria for a year and I started working more on being outgoing. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get a management position in foodservice because I don't have the experience but I can't get the experience if no one will hire me. On interviews, when I explain this dilemma, they say they understand but they don't hire me. So this time around, I was sure I would get the job because I had the experience and I practiced on my interview skills and how to answer questions. Then I was told that they didn't hire me because they feel I should get some experience outside of the school (I have been working there on and off for 9 years). I'm ready to leave but I have no money. What should I do next?

 | Id always get beat up elementary -middle school. My social anxiety caused me to not go to school, I couldn't ask questions or get up to bring attention to myself so i skipped and dropped out. I have crappy friends and cant find better, they talk behind peoples back and always lie. The first job I had, i was fired from cause of racism i was the only white guy out of 30 spanish people. Like my coworker would come in at 3 and talk with the supervisor sitting down in the cafeteria chatting away for 15 minutes, And if i went to go wash my hands id get accused of "not doing Shit " and walking around from the same superior while the others were sitting reading magazines on company time. I cant find a job cause i was fired and i only have my GED, my stepmother hates me and always talks behind my back, turning my father against me. And im a good person! Im nice ti people and try to make every one feel good about themselfes, i don't cheat or steal, i love animals i try to help everyone but somehow its always bad for me. I once got kicked out of my dads house cause i changed religions while my brither who's a pill poppin, thiefing, needle junkie who sold all my moms jewelry and all my dads tvs and laptops never got threatened out of the house. He sells my stuff and if i yell at him for it my dad lashes out at me and says its only stuff. My bro has been through 3 cars my dad bought him from age 17 and messed them all up while i got nothing and im 19. Girls prefer my bro over me even tho im nice, im fit, 170 lb, bench 200 i got my 6pack i got a handsome face, id rate it 7/10 i guess but they Always like him more even tho hes a skinny tatted up black teeth a*****e who sells All my stuff. My stepmom looked at me with disgust today and when i told her i didn't like it, my pops yells at me. Am i cursed? Does god hate me if he's out therr somewhere? I dont know but any advice would help
